Hotel desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I got a good value room for one person (me) with a single (twin) type bed. The room was warm with a radiator I could turn on and off. There was a tea kettle, and tea and coffee packets (instant) provided. It was generally cozy, and pleasant to stay in the room at the end of the day. There was a desk. Wifi was a bit weak where I was located. Bathroom was large, and the shower was good with plenty of hot water. There is a full service hotel bar, and if you want exotic beer like Chicago 312 IPA it is on tap...a big surprise. Hallways have interesting photos of Aberdeen harbour lighthouse being smashed by big waves. Many different photos of outrageous waves pounding the harbour wall and engulfing the lighthouse. There is a cooked breakfast available , but it costs extra (12 Scottish poonds or so). May be worth it if you are very hungry in the morning and want to demolish a buffet style selection of eggs, bacon, porridge, black puddin' etc. Outside the hotel entrance, the Union Terrace gardens are nice, and feature a statue of Rabbie Burns. The hotel is about 12 mins walking distance to the Union Square shopping centre and the Aberdeen railway station...so that's also a good point in its favour.

Aberdeen is a great place to visit, we had a theatre & a concert visit included in our trip and both venues were really good apart from the P&J charging a fortune for food & drink. If you're travelling by car beware of the bus lane restrictions which are not well advertised and will result in a hefty fine if you transgress. The sea food in the restaurants, The Atrium & Bistro Verde, was first class and possibly the best I have ever had. Union Street was a great place to wander around, The Union Cafe was very, very good for a pit stop for coffee/tea & cake and the variety of shops was great.

Lots to see and do. However have to be careful driving because of all the areas for bus lanes and bus gates. Eat in TGIF and Tony Macaroni - lovely meals and service. Also eat at the Promenade cafe at Beach. Really good food.

It's sad that, despite the wealth that poured into the city in the 70s/80s it looks tired and city planning clearly has been lacking. Architecture is poor compared to other Scottish cities, shopping likewise.
The beach toilets were locked up - only toilets we could find were at Footdee.
Such a shame this city, that has had the impact of the energy industry doesn't feel like it has done anything positive as a consequence.

The city is beautiful , but a nightmare to drive in , as do many bus lanes, ( which are quick to catch you out and get fined )

Ever wish you could find a budget hotel with 5-star service? If you are travelling to Aberdeen (Scotland) you need look no further than the Globe Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the breakfasts are hearty, and the staff unfailingly courteous. There is also an attractive beer garden for chilling out in the evening or having dinner outdoors. When the time comes for moving on, perhaps to catch the evening ferry to Orkney or Shetland (within walking distance), the staff will happily store your luggage. Like I said, 5-star.
Beautiful clean hotel with great selection of food both for breakfast and in the restaurant, bar looked very inviting but not enough time to use it. very helpful team from reception to housekeeping. Wanted to sample the spa facilities but unfortunately ran out of time on our stay. Excellent transport links, outside Aberdeen Rail station the airport bus from Union square stops right by the hotel with a frequent service
Nice clean room. The hotel was quiet, which was ideal for me and the kids. Rooms are a good size, considering the sofa bed was pulled out. We all had a restful night sleep after a busy day in Aberdeen. Street outwith the hotel was quiet considering how close it was to the town. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from, very family friendly. Staff were helpful.
Definitely, Marishal apartments make our stay in Aberdeen easier. Excellent location, excellent facilities, staff very polite, you can't ask for more!
Finally, excellent value for money!
I would recommend it strongly. In fact, if someone wants to waste money, he can go to any of these fancy hotels.
Absolutely 5 stars!
The staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond for us. The room, restaurant, and garden was lovely. The best steak we had in Scotland was at the Conservatory restaurant here and wonderful langoustines accompanied. Room service was attentive and thought of everything for us during our stay.
Situated close to the train station, bus station, airport bus route, ferry terminal, Union Street and Union Square shopping centre you couldn’t ask for a better location in Aberdeen city centre. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was perfectly adequate.
Rare to find a hotel in Aberdeen with onsite parking. It’s walking distance from City Centre, yet set in a quiet area. The staff are always great and the rooms are very comfortable. No need for veggies to venture out to find food as there’s a good selection here
Lovely architecture, like walking onto the set of poirot., open spaces and bar area stylishly designed from its day with loads of big windows. It was cheap accommodation close to city centre easy walk in for tea. Area a bit run down.bed was comfy, good TV.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, great staff, great location, dinner was amazing, breakfast took a bit longer than normal but only because the hotel was very busy, we would happy go back for another stay. Happy Customers, 5 star hotel
Good location with parking in the center of Aberdeen. An old style hotel which had all modern amenities. A comfy bed and fair size bathroom. The bar was alas closed for some reason and the nearby pub shut at 10pm!!
A good hotel.
The jacuzzi tub was a saviour , otherwise the hotel/room was a dud! No breakfast offered as advertised :(. Coffee machine was nice but didn’t work our second day :(
It is a beautiful historical hotel. A very enjoyable experience staying there. It was conveniently located for my conference at Robert Gordon University.
Amazing customer service. Comfortable room. Flexible check-in options. Easy to get to from the airport. About 20mins bus journey to Aberdeen city centre
