It was quiet & with a fresh breeze from the sea, but sort of out in the middle of nowhere with not a lot of hiking or running nearby. We had booked four days which was too long. Two days would’ve been good. The cabins all looked pretty run down with peeling paint etc. Bathroom in our cabin was renovated, so that & bedroom was nice, but kitchen/living room was so-so - especially for that very expensive price. Now staying at a gorgeous high end large cabin for less money that the tiny cabin at Farstad. Not good value for money.

The 3-course seafood dinner (550 NOK) was very delicious. As requested also a vegan alternative was served for one of us. As the menu is alternated every other day, we took the dinner at the hotel only twice and drove 20 min to a restaurant on our third night. We also used the Sauna with direct access to the (cery cold) sea for refreshment.

The room was nicely appointed. Beds very comfortable. The view from our balcony was stunning. A delicious breakfast buffet was included. It had a large selection to choose from.
