Great place to start from when you want to hike somewhere...
Great place to start from when you want to hike somewhere green and foresty. Nature reserves, trails, an island few minutes by bus we could walk through five days and still love it. And you return to somehow quiet city, but big enough to get your shopping and meals and also entertainment. Easy to go around and travel to near by cities both by train and bus. I can imagine it would be much harder in winter months, but June in Sundsvall is heavenly.

A nice city.
A nice city. We were driving towards Stockholm from North Sweden, and stopped at Sundsvall for one night. We went to the bathhouse (Himlabadet), which was really nice. The water was warm at the bathhouse and had lots of adventure. The nature outside the town is also very nice (when we were driving, especially towards the north). It was also exciting to cross the bridge in the town.

Sundsvall is an ok town.
Sundsvall is an ok town. This particular hotel was located in/at the edge of the center so all the necessary facilities where within the approximity. Prices for eating out are quite high though, when with a family of four you can easily be off with at least 150 euros a day. My stay was seminar based and strateglically booked so I didn't have to cover much distances to get around, so no opinions about that.

Nice city with a great little downtown area.
Nice city with a great little downtown area. Lots of restaurants with a wide variety of choice. Nice pedestrian shopping area. A wide selection of hotels for all tastes and likes including modern on top of a mountain to old world charm in the center of downtown as well as a hotel on a ship. Nice old architectural buildings with 21st century offerings all around.

Sundsvall, is part of Northern Sweden but geographically more or less in the center. It's a small and cozy little city with all facilities you need and the area outside the city is very beautiful. There is a skiing resort just next door and wonderful places to walk and experience nature.
The breakfast and the location are excellent.
Location is close to the city center and breakfast is delicious and diverse.
Room is clean, bed is comfortable.
Accessible for pets.
There are free parking lots in the hotel territory, but there are only 20, they can be booked. There is also free parking from 16:00 to 8:00 on the street, but you should be around 16:00-17:00 to find available place.
Considering value for money, it is a great place to stay. There were common kitchen and common bathrooms, but those were always clean enough. Free parking next to the place to stay. A tower to watch the whole town, just few hundred meters away from the Vandrarhem, which is also very close to the city centre. But still, it is within nature, and children have a place to play outside the house.
A little rough, but compared to pricier options it was suitable. May not be the best option if you are looking for comfort.
Trevellers must keep in mind that the ratings and accommodations of European hotels are not the same as in North America.
Matias, receptionist rude, unhelpful. But Evia was good.i was given a room next to dog room. I couldn't sleep due to dog disturbance. Beds were of poorest quality. I developed Acute lower backpain.noise on roof due to renovation
This hotel is one of the best option in Sundsvall. The hotel is quite new. The rooms are very clean and confortable. The breackfest is amazing. The gym is very good with lot of optins to exercice your body.
Stuff was friendly and girl on the reception desk was very polite and kind. If I pass through again I’ll choose your hotel because of customer service . Impressed from receptionist. Well done. Tumb on
The room was exceptionally clean. This was the biggest selling point. The lady, Christina, who cares for the hotel, actually moves the furniture when she cleans. And the common areas were spotless.
Spacious, modern and home feeling flat.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants
something more personal than a hotel.
Host, Marcus, was very organised and felt taken care of.
Good location.
Very good place for people who want to stay in Sundsvall, very big room with plenty of free place for your stuff, small kitchen but it's enough, nice owner who will be happy to help you
The hotel has an exceptional central location. The breakfast included is full and hearty. The parking garage about 3 minutes walk is very reasonable. We’d stay here again, no question.
Very clean, comfortable place. Near hotel you can found museum, play garden. You can rent scooter. I like this hotel. You can cook food in the kitchen. Shower and toilet was clean.
We were upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost as the hotel was not full.
The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful.
Parking was close and available.
