This relatively small town in Skåne is very beautiful and peaceful on the way between Malmö / Lund and Stockholm. Historical sightseeings are combined with modern shops, cafes and art-objects interesting for most of tourists. One cafe (don't write its name to avoid blames in advertising) surprised me with its dishes which combined different components unexpectedly and extremely tasty!

Going in January probably didn't give a fair reflection on the city as there seemed to be a hangover from Xmas & not a lot of things to see or visit. One could see the potential in better weather or at a tourist time of year.

Interesting smaller town with a strict and old town planning. A recently allowed large central shopping mall is however damaging the survival of other and specialised shops in the streets.
The town museum, the large Trefaltighets church, and the cute and well run theater are all for good activities in the winter period.
The museum has a good daytime restaurant.

Pleasant city of 40 000 people which makes a good base for exploring the surrounding region by car or bicycle. Good range of shops, bars and restaurants, Araslöv's two golf courses are a ten minute drive away.
Due to the ongoing pandemic the hotel reception isn't always manned; the staff contacted me to learn my time of arrival and made sure to have someone available for the check-in. Likewise, the breakfast is split into three time windows to ensure the dining hall is never crowded. I really liked the organisation overall!
There's a small square with some restaurants right behind the hotel and the town square, as well as the department store, are just minutes away.
What can we say…
This is a hotel as a hotel should be and even more.
Anna is wonderful and makes you feel special.
The room is rather small but is cosy and the bathroom is perfectly equipped.
The beds are on the soft side.
The breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Sweden!
It is a bit of a walk to the city center (about 2km).
If you are looking for a place with 100% comfort and an exeptional hostess, this is were you should be!
UPDATE: The general manager reached out to me about the review and was very kind. It was very thoughtful of him to take action and make things right! After his kind response I'm inclined to rate the hotel much higher. My negative experience below reflects one room and one night, and the main areas of the hotel were clean and a good stay.
The breakfast was nice. Also, the vibe of the lobby is very historic and I liked it.
Location was fabulous - close to public transport, shopping area, restaurants and major attractions of the city - can't be any better. Staffs were nice and friendly. Hotel allowed late checkout at 13:00, which was so helpful!! Breakfast was good. Liked the decor of the lobby and the restaurant (Lilla P), where we had our breakfast.
Old style hotel with a retro feel and large spaces. Staff is very service minded, despite limited services due to covid. Location is right on the main street and the lounge area is beautifully furnished with leather furniture and large windows.
Very friendly staff.....Our room was very clean and tidy.....Breakfast was awesome........The hotel is near to the train station and a lot of attractive places are within walking distance......I highly recommend this place with 10/10 !!!!
The grand entrance and the ancient interior. Nice experience to stay in once. The location is perfect. Walking distance to restaurants and a park at the opposite. Staffs are nice and friendly. Free coffee and tea at the central hall.
It was close to the main train station and easy to get around. Also you are in the center of the city. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone that is visiting Kristianstad.
The hotel had everything you need. Everything is well thought out. From arrival, stay to departure.
The breakfast selection is wide, you will definitely find something for breakfast. There was also a smoothie!🫐
Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is at perfect location. Room to inner courtyard, very quiet and bed was comfy too, so I had a really good sleep 😊 Simple but tasty breakfast.
Great location for exploring the downtown. The staff is very nice and accommodating, the hotel is clean and tidy, and serves a very good breakfast with some locally sourced food.
The hotel is beatiful and the location is great. There is a parking lot and bus stop in front of the hotel. The room is extremily big, clean and comfortable
