City is popular for their candies, on the main street of Gränna there is a number of candy shops with huge selection of different sweets and you can see their production process. We found the people friendly, the surroundings clean and pretty. We were able to walk a lot and saw as much as we could. With a car it would have been better, to be able to drive on the island and further around the town. We found a wonderful pizza place up the hill from Grenna Hotell where we stayed. We also came to see where my Great-Great Grandfather came from to America. Also found grave of his brother in the cemetery. Gränna was a lovely small town with beautiful scenery and a relaxed environment. It was perfect for our short romantic stay... we arrived just in time to enjoy the sunset. We wish we would have stayed longer!

When we checked in there had been a mix up with another guest (same surname) and we first thought we wouldn't have a room for the night, however, this was quickly resolved and the staff were friendly. The hotel is in a nice location with nature, cows and a lake around. Short drive to Granna which is where we were going the next day.
