For those who love quiet time in nature Onna is a beautiful place away from the buzz! Many beaches in white sand with beautiful aqua ocean. Taxi are convenient using app for those who don't drive.
The only thing is vegetarians will find meal options limited on Okinawa and away from the city. Most restaurants offer meat & seafood.

Not much parking space on the road in Onna area.
Not much parking space on the road in Onna area. Suggest pre-plan your destination before start to drive. If necessary to search or looking for the place in the middle of your driving, best way is to go to convenience store's parking lot first as most of the road at there not allow you to park or stop.

As a resident of Okinawa, I love Onna for its beachy feeling and the quiet yet lively vibes.
In the past few years, the area has been overly developed and multiple resorts have been built, taking away the authenticity of this part of the island and making it hard for smaller businesses to survive.
As a traveler to Onna, I suggest that you rent a car for an easier exploration, and that you support smaller hotels.
Take advantage of the calmness of Okinawa, stroll around and stop in random restaurants. You won't regret it! I had a great Izakaya experience at "Chinuman", with fun food accompanied by Okinawan live music. If you are looking for good Shabu Shabu, "Ocean Boo!" is for you.
If you are in the area for some deserved beach time, know that there are plenty of free beaches you can stop at. Just remember to pick up after yourself, and to leave them cleaner than you found them.
Take the time to join some of the activities offered around the city. From glass blowing to Ziplining and water sports, it won't be difficult to find something for the whole family.

My friend and I stayed here one night we were dissatisfied with the charge of the amenities. We were shocked to be told that Breakfast was not included, parking had a fee of ¥500. And the pool/spa had a fee of ¥1500 pp. not only those fees also our room we were taken too was tiny. We asked to be upgraded but was charged another ¥6,000 yen. We will be staying in the future and we shall be letting friends and family know of this absurd priced hotel
Ultra modern, clean, artistic decor
Outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic
Lots of eco friendly and marine themes like cups made with sand and resin/wood signage
6 types of bath salts with unlimited refills
Lovely coffee/tea corner which can be enjoyed from check in till after dinner
Spacious rooms with microwave and full size fridge
Plenty of charging ports
Lots of amenities can be loaned from the hotel like nail clippers - lifesaver
Breakfast at Bonfire is Chinese style (with a Jap twist) overall great selection would recommend
Nana and Shiro are exceptiinal hosts who make sure that their guests are taken care of during their stay. My room was clean and comfortable and the Okinawa cookies I found each day for tea were such a treat! I did not expect the lovely breakfast that was available each morning but I definitely appreciated it and chatting with Shiro over excellent coffee. The location was perfect. Beach access at the Moon Beach Resort was an added bonus.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere very cheerful and friendly staff, really gives you the Okinawa vibe staying here. That really made our stay so enjoyable. The room was really big and spacious and there were even pajamas to fit me. Usually in Japanese hotels I end up wearing pjs about 3 sizes to small but we had 2 different sizes and the fit was perfect :) also the breakfast buffet was great, I wish we could of stayed here for longer.
We had a balcony we great view on the hotel beach and pool. Unfortunately the pool was still closed and the water too fresh to have a swim. the bathhouse is great and you can play table tennis for free. there is also a shop within the hotel operated by an external provider where you can buy snacks and drinks, souvenirs and bathrobes if you didn't bring your own.
The room was clean, comfortable, quiet.
It was a good value for money.
I was well located, not far by foot to some restaurants or konbini. Located in an area with nice beaches around.
The parking just in front of the room was convenient.
I think I will come back to this hotel next time I go to Okinawa.
The waterpark is super fun and is the highlight of our trip in Okinawa ! It could be quite challenging to climb back on the floating park if you fall into the water. But you feel safe as they have a friendly and professional lifeguard patrolling at the park to help you out whenever you are in trouble.
Everything the hotel has to offer friendly services food 10 star shop excellent shops walk to the beach will be going back again next year. Beaches so clear and surrounding clean wish or if I could I will give this ratings 100.thank you so much you made my vacation so special.thank you again.
The room was fantastic with a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was a great size and was very clean. The hotel itself is also very clean and modern. The restaurants in the hotel were all excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful hotel.
If you are looking for the spirit of (often) typhoon affected beaches and how it used to be in the 70's this hotel has a soul and good meals options. Just like anywhere in Japan everyone is very polite, friendly, smiling but some just don't speak English.
A good location for reaching nearby beaches in Onna, and at the same time being able to travel to Motobu peninsula. The premises are good, well maintained and fully featured, definitively a positive experience
We liked the location of the accommodation and the fact that it's a budget accommodation (since we're only staying 2 nights in Onna).
You get what you paid for I guess.
Love the accessibility of all 3 pools. The meals were a little confusing because we couldn't pay for it in advance, but figured it out at each restaurant.
Home style hotel very cosy and comfortable, location is conveniently to drive to the north and the mid of the island so we can move around conveniently
