There were beautiful gardens in the city including the wonderful botanic garden. The castle was also interesting. In addition, Okayama is a wonderful place to stay with day trips to wonderful cities/sites such as Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Naoshima or Himeji Castle.

Okayama is very pleasant and easygoing, with lots of walking possibilities. It is also located in between big tourist centers that can be easily reached from Okayama. People in Okayama are very nice and friendly, and food is really delicious.

Besides having a few interesting sightseeing options of its own (castle, Korakuen garden), Okayama is a very convenient place to stop for a few days because it's close to other popular places to visit (Kurashiki) and a gate to visit northeastern Shikoku

Okayama itself is worth visiting to see, but it's especially good to use as a hub as it connects the north, south, east and west of Japan via the Shinkansen and local trains. It's particularly great as a base from which to explore Shikoku via day trips.

Excellent location. The amenities were very good.
Excellent location. The amenities were very good. They had a big Onsen bath on the top floor. The room was tiny and bed was uncomfortable. Even though I stayed one night, I couldn't wait to check out.

A lovely, compact city with lots of clean, comfortable public spaces. The area around the station is filled with lots of good restaurants and shops and a giant Aeon mall. I would describe the city as a college town, with a young vibe to match. Walkways are wide and clean and the streets fairly easy to drive and navigate, even for new visitors.
was pleased to be housed on the top floor but just had views of other buildings.
Rooms an OK size.
Reception was good to let me leave my bag for the day.
Nice neighbourhood and really interesting, especially being so near the station. It was not too noisy and quite lively. There is a little tree lined canal road next to the hotel and the walk to the station (5 minutes) has lots of izakayas and bars frequented by locals and not just tourists.
The property was pretty central. It was walking distance from Okayama Station, Okayama Castle and Korakuen. It is close to a lot of restaurants and bars. I was expecting a pretty basic business hotel for the price I paid. However, it was surprisingly decent. The room was small, but big enough for overnight solo travel. Much more comfortable than a capsule hotel for not much more cost.
A hotel catering to tourists. Everything a bit bigger than a standard business hotel room: bigger bath, bigger room, bigger flat screen TV (positioned to be comfortably watched while in bed). Location was a short walk to train station, and on a tree lined canal giving a good ambiance. Tourism info provided in room.
I only interacted with staff at check-in, so, not much to rate.
- located at the city centre of Okayama, only a 5 min walk from the Okayama station.
- cabin room is clean and comfortable, and the private room comes with a sliding door. (If you care about the sliding door, the cabin room might not be suitable for you, please search for other category room)
- overall, I'm happy to stay here as a solo traveller and satisfied.
The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room were very clean and tidy. All the utilities in the room were of good quality and nothing was missing. Being a rail side hotel, you are well connected to trains, buses and local trams and the station itself has a good selection of restaurants and shops.
This hotel is very close to the tram station. The room is comfortable, you can also connect the smart tv to your netflix or other account if you want to watch something during your stay. It also provide amenities. It is very close to Korakuen Garden and Okayama castle too. The staff are very helpful
Great location near the train station. We used this hotel as a stopover to go to Naoshima Island so the proximity to the station works well. The hotel is accessible from the station using underground walkways. The room has an opening window for fresh air.
We stayed at this hotel as a quick 1 night stopover enroute to Tokyo. It's connected to the Shinkansen rail station and a food court which was tremendously convenient. The rooms were adequate, clean and functional. Location could not be beat.
The staff is always friendly. It's my third time to stay at this hotel. There's free drinks you can get anytime. It is about 8 minutes away from Okayama station on foot. They also have free bicycle rental if you want to explore the city.
The best thing for us was the location. Given that we did many day trips from Okayama, being next to the train station was a plus. The hotel is completely western, so no many Japanese details. Beds were very comfortable. Staff amazing!
The hotel is very well located next to Okayama station. The hotel is modern but in need of an update. Carpets in hallways were worn/dirty and the restaurant looked a little dated. Great views from the top floor.
Great location close to the main Okayama city railway station (at least it’s close when you go out of the right exit…)
There’s also a large shopping mall across the street which is convenient for getting food.
clean, cozy and in the center of the city. even though it takes 15 mins on foot to okayama sta.
i love the japanese breakfast too.
staffs were friendly and even called me after my things left there.
Great location near the main JR station. Excellent Japanese breakfast, very clean and walking distance to the Okayama Castle and gardens. Great restaurants nearby as well. Great value for the cost!
Great location, very close to Okayama station
- Room was the biggest out of all the hotels I stayed in Japan
- Elevators/lifts was never a problem
- Comfortable bed
- Lots of stores nearby
The hotel was an easy walk from Okayama Station. I greatly enjoyed the complimentary ice creams after a soak in the public baths and the two shelves of manga available for guests to peruse!
The hotel was very comfortable with a larger than average Japanese double room. So convenient as it is only a 5 minute walk from Okayama Station. Breakfast was good.
The greatest thing about this hotel is its location right next to a train station. It was also affordably priced and the staff was very kind and helpful.
