A lovely, compact city with lots of clean, comfortable public spaces. The area around the station is filled with lots of good restaurants and shops and a giant Aeon mall. I would describe the city as a college town, with a young vibe to match. Walkways are wide and clean and the streets fairly easy to drive and navigate, even for new visitors.RubyDanJapan

Reception was good to let me leave my bag for the day. Nice neighbourhood and really interesting, especially being so near the station. It was not too noisy and quite lively. There is a little tree lined canal road next to the hotel and the walk to the station (5 minutes) has lots of izakayas and bars frequented by locals and not just tourists.
