This was our second week, after a week away travelling. We chose the hotel because it was recently renovated and near our family. It suited our needs well.
Located in Musashino, near Gessoji Temple, Kichijōji Art Museum and Tateno Park, 交流の宿 features a terrace.

Very friendly host, taking good care, English speaking. The house is quiet, bathroom very clean, airco works fine. The room is basic, but good for one person, maybe a bit small for two. Wifi works fine.
About 15 - 20 min walk from Mitaka or Kichijoji station. Frequent buses to Kichijoji as well. Nice shopping, restaurant and izakaya places around Kichijoji station. Tokyo is about 30 - 60 min train ride.

The most: hands down breakfast. It was unreal, so good. Huge selection of Japanese breakfast items, all of them were super delicious. Location was also very convenient for us. The room was perfectly functional for one night, though it could do with redecorating.

This is a very nice and quaint small city with everything you need. People are friendly here and there are not many tourists as compared to big cities like Shinjuku or Shibuya. Easy to walk around and explore the sights and also plenty of eating options and transport. You can stay here for a couple of days to enjoy the not so busy lifestyle compared to the CBD or major tourist areas
We came here twice because it was so good the first time. Great location with excellent local market/department store shopping and restaurants, but also a short walk to a peaceful park and lake. Hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere despite being in a busy area of town. The breakfast was wonderful and staff couldn't be nicer or more welcoming. There wasn't a lot of floor space in our budget bedroom. However, there was a large room on the 6th floor where we could do floor exercises to make up for the lack of space in the bedroom.
Room was considerably bigger meaning there is space to unpack and pack luggage and get dressed. There was construction at night which was audible, but it wasn’t as disruptive. To be honest, after 2 weeks all over Japan, I got the best sleep in this hotel. The hotel is next to Musashi Sakai which is along the JR Chuo line, and the rapid train stops at this station. Cheap as eateries nearby open till past midnight, and a convenience store.
Very close to JR train stations and within easy walking distances to many shops and restaurants in Kichijoji. Rooms are small as its a Japanese business hotel but enough for my purposes. Clean and functional and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in this hotel countless of times since 2007 and will continue to stay here when I am on business trips or even pleasure trips just to be in Kichijoji
The convenience and the area!!! The hotel is located in cute neighborhood of Kichijoji. The hotel next to the train station however, you could not hear the trains while you were in the hotel. The hotel is also located near tons of restaurants and shopping. I stayed here for 12 nights (which was cheaper than staying in an Airbnb). I'll be staying here again!!!
The staff were excellent and super helpful. The room was larger than expected and had everything we needed plus more. Kichijoji is a great place to stay in Tokyo, too, as it is considerably more laid back than other more central areas of Tokyo. The hotel is a nice distance from the station, too.
The location was perfect walking distance to food and shops. Definitely will stay at this hotel next time we come back to Kichijoji!
Staff were English speaking and very nice and helpful. Check in and out was super easy and fast.
This hotel is conveniently located in the center of Kichijoji, yet quiet inside.
I could guess that the hotel employees were smiling even though they were wearing a mask when I asked for some assistance from them. Great service!
Our tour group expat tours selected this hotel and we added an extra night pre and post tour. Very happy and loved the area.
Would recommend to friends. Airport coach stops at your door .
Staff polite,efficient and helpful.
We booked this hotel because it was close to the Studio Ghibli museum in Mitaka, but the hotel was really nice and convenient and the area is lovely and not touristy with plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants.
Check in was very, very easy. The room was clean, the AC worked very well, which is not always the case in hotels in Japan, breakfast was easy to get, and we loved the soba and tempura from Nonowa.
The hotel was very cozy, clean, comfortable and offers all kinds of amenities and services (even a sport room) needed, excellent especially compared to others in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Clean comfortable small hotel room modern facilities, great shower & tub room separate from wash basin, very good staff, great location near train station & shopping & restsurants
Location. Two minutes away main train station, convenience stores, shops, restaurants, and department store. My favorite part, the hotel has a laundromat.
Nice hotel in a great location for food/drink. Breakfast buffet was very good - a mix of western-style and local stuff. Worked well for a one night stay.
