The location was fantastic, it's hard to identify something that wasn't only a block or two away: the train station, Inokashira Park, malls, bakeries, Yodabashi Camera.. The room I stayed in was clean, western-style (in terms of the bath-tub and shower). My room was directly over some of the train tracks, which I loved (noise and all), but my relative staying in an adjacent room didn't seem to be a fan of. The "train side" also gave me a view towards central Tokyo, and I could see the towers of Shinjuku in the distance. I interacted with the front desk on several occasions and they were frighteningly amazing during each exchange (I say that because I came to them with complaints, which weren't really fixable, but the staff still made as much effort as they could and somehow made me feel better about the situation). The windows in the room were openable, though it was a bit tricky to figure out. There were no screens. They had laundry machines on my floor (I'm assuming each floor had their own, as they were also next to the floor's ice machine/vending machines). While the laundry machines included driers, I discovered a 24 hour laundromat around the corner which was much, much better at drying my clothes (protip).
