Harare may be a capital city but its well short of interest for holiday makers and I think the hotels were aimed at business and covered our main needs for catching up with family
Walking in the city can be hazardous given the state of the pavements and roads, crossing streets is difficult as traffic lights are rarely working. No hassle from locals and most were helpful with giving directions Shopping in the center is aimed at local demand, the one out of town center we visited to meet and dine was a better experience

I loved the area where it's situated and the wifi was excellent. The ladies who work there were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom needs shower curtains, the tapes were filthy, the TV had no remote had to get up all the time I needed to change the channel, the 2 available channels were boring. The worst was food came 4 hours after I ordered it and it was so cold and unappetizing, what a waste of my money. The plates were not good to look at at all.

The room only had 1 outlet which the TV was plugged into. To use any other electronics you had to unplug the TV, but then the outlet wouldn't work with them!
Had to ask for towels for the shower.

If you are not used to the traffic then be careful of poorly maintained roads. The traffic light conditions are patchy and the potholes are serious. There are of course the taxis that take chances and drive recklessly. Other drivers are OK. Carry cash with you and ONLY USD. The locals are great and friendly.

Chiremba (Epworth) The Balancing rocks was a short distance place to go to given our busy schedule of getting tests done before catching our flights out. MARS covid-19 testing centre was most efficient for covid-19 testing.
We ate in Avondale and picked up ready made wholesome meals from the supermarkets.
Harare road traffic continues to grow and gets congested all day and 'if you cannot beat them, join them', helps😁

Beautiful city with so much development going on around, I last stayed here 10 years back but returned to the city on business and found even more improvement. I love it out here, wouldn’t be anywhere else😋
