Set in the Tangalle Beach district of Tangalle, Turtle Paradise is a 1-minute walk from the beach and Rekawa turtle watching camp.

Turtle Paradise was in an amazing location beside Rekawa turtle beach. It had the friendly atmosphere of a hostel, but also had private rooms with super comfortable king sized beds and en suite bathroom. We ate at the hotel both nights, dinner cooked by the lady of the family. Very delicious and cheap. Her son drove us to our next stop. Altogether, incredibly helpful and so lovely sitting in the dining room/ living room playing board games and chatting with other travellers. Would highly recommend.

Villa Blu is truly a great experience. It has that wow factor that never goes away throughout the stay. It is expertly clean with an amazing pool with a view of the beach that is easy to access. We were there for three days and two nights and we never left the premises once because it has everything they you need in one place. Complete serenity. The food on offer is wide ranging, with the staff picking up the ingredients throughout the day. Lasantha was a great chef and we enjoyed his meals. Sohan and Lakwal kindly arranged us a moonlit dinner which will forever be a core memory. Lakwal was always on hand to offer his help and recommendations and even sorted us out a gift upon our departure. And finally, Kamal - he made sure that everything was perfect throughout our stay. He went out his way to go to the pharmacy for us and was very kind in offering me advice. He manages the villa well and we left feeling like VIP’s. We can’t wait to reccomend this place to our friends and family.

As the listing states there is no food served at this hotel. However there are a good list of properties close by to eat and getting around by tuktuk is easy and cheap. The pool is clean and a good size and our daughter had fun in it. The beach is beautiful and very quiet but not suitable for swimming while we were there (April). The room was clean and comfortable with basic amenities. Note that the nearest cash machine is a tuktuk ride away and some local restaurants don't take card.

We were so glad to have booked to stay here as it’s a really beautiful hotel and we were sad to leave! If you’re looking to stay somewhere luxurious as well as be away from the crowds then this is a wonderful place to stay. Breathtaking views of the sea from our bungalow and it was amazing to sit on the balcony and hear the waves. The beach and surrounding area are lovely and quiet yet walking distance (or a short tuk-tuk journey) to local restaurants. We also had a wander along the beach when it was dark to find hundreds of little crabs around which was interesting!

    The town has very little to offer.

    The town has very little to offer. It’s a noisy, chaotic typical Sri Lankan town. The only redeeming factor was Silent Beach on the Western side of town. We also enjoyed a nice meal at Cactus Lounge.

    Tangalle is a fairly sleepy town, with quiet beaches. Great place for a rest and recharge. There are a couple of supermarkets in the town centre, and a bottle shop. The beach is countless bars and restaurants.

    I liked the size of the city - just right to walk anywhere, plenty of options to buy fresh fruit, fish and good local food. The bus stand was easy to be found. There were always tuk tuk drivers around for when you needed it, but sometimes they were too eager to give you a ride even if you didn't want to. The city always felt safe, even at night.. even for a solo traveling young woman. There was a great food booth near the bus stand selling the best shawarma ever! There were plenty of beautiful beaches around, but the sea was too stormy. Nearby in Kapuhenwalla is a good turtle conservation project, where you could go see turtles hatch and lay eggs. I am definitely coming back~

    Tangalle is really nice but it is far better just 2/3...

    Tangalle is really nice but it is far better just 2/3 kilometres up the coast at Marocolyia beach and lagoon.Very peaceful and tranquil. This where Coconut Island cabanas is.There is also a small lake about 200 meters from the accommodation which is full with wading birds.Flamingos,Sacred and Glossy Ibis etc etc.

    We were fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves. The room we had was the largest we had in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka and it was lovely to unwind in the living area and have dinner around the big dining table. It’s a great place to relax as Tangalle is about 13km away but we got the local bus into Tangalle to visit the beach. Prabath and his team really work hard to make your stay enjoyable. The gardens and swimming pool are an oasis and a lovely place to chill out.

    This is the best place in Sri Lanka. The room is clean, spacious, and well equipped. You have the router right next to your bed. Water pressure is so strong which is rare in this country. The breakfast is super nice and delicious. The best thing about the place is the owners. They are 24h there for you with a big smile. They helped us with everything we needed even when we asked for food to be cooked a certain way. I can’t even describe how nice and polite they were.

    The family is just amazing! On top of the great ocean view and the path that takes you to Goyambokka or Silent beach in few minutes, they were very supportive and helped us a lot when I got strong fever. They took me to the doctor and gave me all the support I needed, I will always be grateful for it! I would recommend to everyone to stay here, immerse in the green and surrounded by trees and animals. probably our best stay in Sri Lanka!

    incredible location, private section of beach with beautiful views. the rooms are spotless with comfortable beds. even better is the staff, the nicest team of people who ensure every minute is enjoyed. the food served on site is very tasty whether Sri Lankan or otherwise (would highly recommend the 3 curry and rice). if you want a day trip out the the beaches and ya Galle ask for Piyumal, super friendly and knowledgable.

    I had the small room, which was good value for little money. If you are not on budget, take the spacious apartment. I ordered Sri Lankan breakfast as add on which was the first highlight of the day after a swim at Silent Beach. I rented a bicycle from the owner for Rs800 per day and explored the Tangalle area. Super homestay, located 5 minutes to walk from Silent Beach.

    Very spacious room with a huge balcony that has a very nice beach view. You wake up with the sound of the waves. Bathroom is also very spacious. The location is great as it has a nice beach right in front and plenty of options for food and drinks. The beach bar below the hotel is cool and inviting. Staff was friendly. One of the best values for money in Sri Lanka so far!

    Lovely Homestay, just a few minutes walk from Silent Beach (Tangalle). Nice and very clean room with A/C and mini bar. Extremely friendly and helpful host family.     It was really cheap and the accomodation was luxury. The owner took care of everything and the wifi was awesome compared to other hotels in Sri Lanka. It is close to the beach and you have more than enough space in your room. It is the best accomodation I have ever been in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks for everything.

    The best hostel I've stayed in in Sri Lanka. The location is amazing as it's right next to the beach and you can watch the sunrise from the terrace. Everything is very clean and the bathrooms are spacious and have a hot shower. Nice common area and good food. Great value for money. I would definitely come back!

    Very nice bungalows on a secluded beach, ideal for a romantic getaway. Everything was perfect : the bungalow with a balcony, the swimming pool, the access to the beach, the breakfast. The best hotel we have seen in Sri Lanka for this price range.

    Wonderful location at the quieter end of Tangalle beach, plenty of free sunbeds. Spent 6 nights here and found it very relaxing after travelling around Sri Lanka. Great Bungalow on the sea front - can hear the waves crashing from your room.

    The best shower experience in Sri Lanka, since they have a proper wall/separator in the shower to keep the rest of the washroom dry. Also hot water and great pressure! Friendly host and nice facilities. Bang for buck 10/10

    Really nice accomodation on the beach, amazing and big breakfast (we choose the Sri Lankan one), cool chill place, mostly clean sheets and towels, very clean floor and bathroom, no humidity in the room (that rarely happens)
