It doesn't have much to do. If you are going to relax and be in nature, it can be great. But we were expecting to find more leisure options, like water sports and hiking. You can go on your own and with your own equipment, but we couldn't find companies who provide them.
Also, there are not many restaurants to pick.

The area around the lake is really nice.
The area around the lake is really nice. We really enjoyed the food in the restaurants in Mora and Cabeção. For kids, you may want to check the Fluviário and do water sports. It's a very nice trip just a 1,5 hours from Lisbon.
I had already stayed at the hotel a few times but it was the first time we stayed at the Villas. I can say that it was a great experience, the Villa is comfortable although the rooms do not have the areas of the rooms in the Hotel, especially the second bedroom, the swimming pool has good dimensions and a beautiful view over the Montargil dam.
Excellent breakfast as always, service, professionalism and friendliness of the staff, variety and quantity of food..all excellent
A stunning Hotel, and location...Wonderful staff, amazing rooms so tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable
Bar, lounge and dinning area over look the Montargil Dam reservoir..Lovely outside decked area to enjoy the wide variety of beverages available.
Dinner was the the Chef's surprise, so no menu but fantastic local produce, and enjoyed by us all( 7 of us!!).....
Again the breakfast spread amazing. We only stayed 1 night, but will be returning for sure.
We loved almost everything about the hotel. From the room (spacious, comfortable, clean) to the breakfast (probably one of the best breakfasts in terms of quality we have ever had), from the facilities (great spa circuit, pool and gym) to the staff (I asked for for a birthday surprise and they left a cake and sparkling wine bottle in the room).
The food at the hotel restaurant was superb and really good value. Best mushroom risotto zi have ever had. Breakfast was good too. The staff during meal services was very attentive. Indoor pool was great. Received a small cake during breakfast as it was our birthday. Room was spacious and had a nice and private balcony.
Excellent placement of both the pool and the canvas tent allowed for a great view over the Montargil dam which was a relaxing experience during meals and leisure time. The "open air" illusion provided by the canvas tent is very pleasant if you enjoy the feeling of sleeping with the crickets.
Breakfast is very good although we would like to have had a bit more fruit options; the staff was very helpful on several occasions (we were traveling with a baby); at night it was all very quite and the beds were very comfortable; the area around the Barragem is very beautiful
great location. the existence of several swimming pools (one of them for +16) is a plus. the room are spacious, there's a coffee machine and a balcony.
we had one or two minor issues that were communicated to the staff and promptly solved.
staff at breakfast was efficient.
Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities including a superb spa and pool. Staff were amazing and provided secure storage for our bicycles (cycling the N2). Really good dinner and buffet breakfast. A wonderful stay, fully refreshed and ready for another day on the bike.
The location was absolutely stunning and the hotel and restaurant were perfect. The staff were really kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The dinner and breakfast were excellent.
This place is in general above average.
It has everything that you can expect from a five stars hotel.
SPA and pools are great and well maintained and room was spacious and clean.
Extremelly peaceful place with lots of space and time to relax. Derby the dog is very friendly with kids. The lake is clean almost like a swimming pool.
