One of few availiable accommodations at Espinho at the time I was visiting it, and the only one shared with a reasonable price. It's some sort of a sports hostel, close to the sports facilities. Very lovely that the breakfast is proposed with no extra charge (I had to leave before it was served though)!

The location and the attitude of young man running it . The "Why not " is not high luxury . But for self catering , budget conscious patrons it is excellent value . If l return to Espinho .I want to stay there.

Espinho is a great City but there needs to be an upgrade of abandoned properties which ruins the overall good feeling of the City. Location is great for going to Porto, Santa Maria De Feira or Carcavelos.

Great location with a wonderful beach and good views out to sea. Loved the sunrises and sunsets. Good range of quality restaurants and bars. Great for walking along the promenade and / or beach morning or evening, I especially enjoyed the quiet and peace in the mornings before breakfast. I wouldn't call it a right place for tourist.The only decent thing there is a beach. However we were missing normal amenities you would expect to find on proper beach like toilets and changing cabins,e.c. The city itself has not much to offer apart from few nice restaurants and bars.We couldn't find a single bike rent - that is ridiculous.There are no wellness centers with swimming pool,saunas,e.c. around.AleksandrLithuania - 10Scored 10
It's a relatively quiet seaside town on a main railway line...
It's a relatively quiet seaside town on a main railway line so it is easy to go into Porto if you want or indeed, take the train South to perhaps Coimbra or Lisbon. The town itself has just little shops so don't expect huge supermarkets. You will have no trouble finding all that you need.

We had secure bicycle parking. Very comfortable bed, clean new bathroom and shower. There was an outdoor space in a patio outside our room plus a patio out front with ocean view. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Friendly staff. We stayed only one night and would have stayed longer but were concerned about possible rain. We killed time at Aipal bakery everyday downstairs at our breakfast and coffee break. Walking distance to most of the restaurants and beach. Very quiet and neat rooms with the great terrace. Clean, spacy apartment (nice bathrooms). The local representative (Sonja) was very nice asking pretty much every day (by WhatsApp) if all was ok ! We highly appreciated the Guide Booklet in the apartment which provides guidance to local Restaurants, shops, breakfast cafeterias, etc. Nice boardwalk in front of the apartment for lenghty, relaxing walks.
