    Curia is an undiscovered gem.

Curia is an undiscovered gem. A 15 minute lovely walk from the accommodation gives gorgeous old affluent hotels/gardens/sculptures and tree lined avenues. One of our highlights in three months of travel!

The home of suckling pig and espumante!

The home of suckling pig and espumante! A great place to visit to try Portuguese sparkling wine and leitao. Also, an easy train journey or drive to Coimbra and Aveiro, and a 40 minute drive to Costa Nova with its incredible strippy houses and beautiful beaches. We at at Salpoente in Aveiro and Pedro and Ines at Quinta de Lagrimas in Coimbra, highly recommend both. Also visited Caves Sao Joao - a MUST visit. Great tour and tasting!

The great attraction of Curia is its 14 hectars Termal Park...

The great attraction of Curia is its 14 hectars Termal Park which has always been open to visitors. Now they decided to close it to visitors staying in other hotels which is detrimental to the local tourism. They could have charged entry, controlled numbers of visitors, taken the names of visitors, anything that might make sense, rather than forbid everybody from enjoying this great local asset. So I would make sure this decision of closing the Termal Park was changed before booking a vacation there

The hotel is very well located within the beautiful park and surroundings of Curia. It's old style with a lot of space in the dining room, bar, rooms. The staff was friendly in particular with the younger ones. The restaurant was good, albeit with limited offers at lunch/dinner time some days of the week. The breakfast was very good and varied.

It was a pleasure to stay in Hotel Do Parque. Room was nice, but interiors was awesome. Lady was nice to us, they've provided us nice snacks at the evening. Breakfast was rich and dining room was perfect. Living room is quite and perfect place for evening talk. All these created exclusive experience of staying there. We're appreciate it.

From the minute I walked in I recived such lovely service! Maria was a joy to chat with, and even though smaller than me she insisted in carrying my 28kg suitcase! This hotel was built in 1922, it has incredle history and character, and Maria delighted in showing the different rooms... what an incredible building!!

The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is obviously old but the room was nice with a large bathroom & a view of the pool. The parc is huge and nice for a walk. The hotel and park are dog-friendly, something which is rather rare in Portugal.

The historical significance and charm of a grand hotel. Staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. We felt as if we were welcomed as family. This is the 4th generation to operate the hotel (same family that built the hotel in 1922).

That the hotel didn´t change since it was built. It still retains all the charm and the tranquility of good old times. Very good, using local products and unpretentious cuisine!

We decided to cancel our stay at the check in. Due to the fact that the hotel did not have luggage porters to take our luggage to the room.
