An amazing small city located on a mountain. The city is separated into an older part and a more modern part which is located at the lowest part of the mountain. The city has a plethora of murals and street art and you can download a dedicated application where you can find where all the murals are located and have a self-tour. The old part of town has amazing buildings and you can get lost by walking in the small traditional streets. The restaurants are of high quality and all the food we tasted was simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Unfortunately when we were there for a 3 night stay the weather was poor on two of the days so I might say the stay was too long. Didn't visit the city at the base of the mountain. The village where the chalets are situated was very quiet with not much going on, we spent most of the spare time in the hotel which was nice.

The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break.
The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break. The views are incredible. The service is very good, made to feel welcome. You need to drive back down the mountain for restaurants etc but the Pousada has everything you want. The air is fresh and all you can hear are the birds, superb.

A great city to use as a base to visit nearby mountains and go hiking. Also, if it's the right season for cherries, head to the market and get some. This area is home to the famous Cerejas da Gardunha you see in every supermarket in Portugal :)

O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!! Covilha otherwise is a lovely, slightly sleep city in the off season filled with very friendly talkative locals. Free parking at the city square until December 2020 so that was great!

Very friendly people.
Very friendly people.
Usually we used to eat at the mall, but since it was locked down (it reopened monday the 1st June) this time we tried the pizzeria just in front of the mall and it had nice pasta and pizza.
We had lunch too at Manteigas, and it was great.
Yes, it is easy to get around Covilhã.
Spacious rooms and good sound proofing in hallways. Excellent and very broad breakfast choices.
Dinner is good value for money as well, for a hotel restaurant plenty of choices to pick from.
Would definitely stay here again when I’m in the area .
There is also a large Lidl next door where you can buy fresh pastries, bread and other essentials.
Other than the lidl there is nothing around the hotel (but I knew that beforehand). So don’t expect this hotel to be in the center of covilha :-)
The guest house is attached to the Pena D'Água Boutique hotel, and we used the hotel's reception facilities and the excellent bar. The staff we very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Nuno in reception and Luis in the Bar. Our room was very spacious and attractively decorated and had a had a great view of the town and the surrounding countryside. We'd like to come back again in better weather, stay longer and try the hotel.
Both the owners and staff are very friendly and available, and made us feel at home.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable - despite the cold outside, the rooms and the main house are very cozy.
We loved the animals, my kids loved Ursinha and Tobias the most.
The food is homemade and delicious, the kids rated it 10/10.
It’s a ten minute drive to Covilhã, and 30/40min drive to Torre, and still very a very quiet place to relax.
Prices have seriously increased regarding food since previous visits. However, food was first class as usual. We, as a group like this hotel and have been going there for the last 6 years. Plenty of parking spaces. Get a taxi to go to the town which is 1.5 mile away uphill, very much so uphill, but well worth the visit. If you eat in, breakfast is huge, and evening meal was comprehensive buffet.
Regards to Juliana.
Well above expectations quality to price, cleanliness, rooms, hospitality. Breakfast was fair and simple. Residential area near Covilha city; close enough for a bike or bus ride downtown and the city mall. It's on the main road, so I'll let that for the next section. SE orientation helps getting lots of sunlight from very early in the morning.
location is good though a little at the outskirts of town. for us it was perfect and planned in advance for hiking at the area.
we were upgraded which was nice.
the building is rebuilt over the ruins of a conservation house.
staff was extremely helpful and provided advise and trails for hikes .
dinner at the hotel is great and breakfast too.
We booked the hotel because of the swimming pool and sauna facilities, and we really enjoyed it. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is not far from Covilhã. On top of that, there is a supermarket right next to it. The staff was very helpful and gave us some recommendations for tourists.
In a great location, just a short walk from the town centre. Parking was adjacent to the hotel and free of charge. friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast was superb, with an excellent choice.
Very clean, comfortable and pleasant room with nice robes and slippers.
The breakfast was varied and well prepared.
Because of our schedule we didn't get to use the spa 😔.
The guesthouse has a hotel vibe.
The room was recent and clean, the A/C worked well.
I had to arrive a few minutes after the check-in closure and it was no problem
The The design of the hotel, clean rooms, comfortable bed and most importantly the staff of the hotel were all charming and very helpful
The breakfast was perfect
