HOTEL SOLNEVE
I was in Covilhã for surgery treatment intervention, I was in need of rest time and recover after surgery, the Hotel Solneve was the right choice, personal commitments made me to leave earlier, but I will be back to Hotel Solneve for a longer stay and pleasant experience and appreciate Solneve in Full HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

An amazing small city located on a mountain.
An amazing small city located on a mountain. The city is separated into an older part and a more modern part which is located at the lowest part of the mountain. The city has a plethora of murals and street art and you can download a dedicated application where you can find where all the murals are located and have a self-tour. The old part of town has amazing buildings and you can get lost by walking in the small traditional streets. The restaurants are of high quality and all the food we tasted was simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Unfortunately when we were there for a 3 night stay the weather was poor on two of the days so I might say the stay was too long. Didn't visit the city at the base of the mountain. The village where the chalets are situated was very quiet with not much going on, we spent most of the spare time in the hotel which was nice.

The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break.
The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break. The views are incredible. The service is very good, made to feel welcome. You need to drive back down the mountain for restaurants etc but the Pousada has everything you want. The air is fresh and all you can hear are the birds, superb.

A great city to use as a base to visit nearby mountains and go hiking. Also, if it's the right season for cherries, head to the market and get some. This area is home to the famous Cerejas da Gardunha you see in every supermarket in Portugal :)

O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!!
O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!! Covilha otherwise is a lovely, slightly sleep city in the off season filled with very friendly talkative locals. Free parking at the city square until December 2020 so that was great!
We felt like home. It very was clean, tidy, pretty enough even for 4 people, and ready to stay. Silent, peaceful, and full of utensils. Not need to bring anything, self care products were ready too: shampoo, towels, ...The iron was really good. We love every morning to see the beautiful mountain view. The owner was very helpful also. Close to UBI buildings and attractions in the city. If we visit Covilha again, we would love to stay in Altavista. Thank you so much🙏
Even better than described, tidy and comfortable, with lots light and plenty of moving space, and a beautiful mix of vintage and newer furniture that work perfectly together. The Wi-Fi was good enough to work and join Zoom meetings without issue, and the beauty of the location in the middle of the old town can’t be beaten. The lovely host is ready to help and respond to any queries. Amazing stay, I would recommend anyone heading to Covilhã to give them a try!
Both the owners and staff are very friendly and available, and made us feel at home.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable - despite the cold outside, the rooms and the main house are very cozy.
We loved the animals, my kids loved Ursinha and Tobias the most.
The food is homemade and delicious, the kids rated it 10/10.
It’s a ten minute drive to Covilhã, and 30/40min drive to Torre, and still very a very quiet place to relax.
Prices have seriously increased regarding food since previous visits. However, food was first class as usual. We, as a group like this hotel and have been going there for the last 6 years. Plenty of parking spaces. Get a taxi to go to the town which is 1.5 mile away uphill, very much so uphill, but well worth the visit. If you eat in, breakfast is huge, and evening meal was comprehensive buffet.
Regards to Juliana.
Well above expectations quality to price, cleanliness, rooms, hospitality. Breakfast was fair and simple. Residential area near Covilha city; close enough for a bike or bus ride downtown and the city mall. It's on the main road, so I'll let that for the next section. SE orientation helps getting lots of sunlight from very early in the morning.
The location just outside Covilha on the spectacular N339 was perfect. The reception was most welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with all the facilities we needed. Best of all was the view from our window!
The food was good be it a light lunch in the bar or an evening meal in the restaurant. A most enjoyable stay.
Superb staff, comfortable room, brilliant shower, well stocked small bar, good buffet breakfast with plenty choice. Well located for accessing parts of Covilha on foot and easy to get cheap, reliable excellent local taxi service from reception for old town. We liked it and the area so much we stayed two extra nights.
I just felt very comfortable and relaxed within the hotel. My husband enjoyed use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi, whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine and an excellent cheese and ham toastie in the bar. Our half board evening meal was very good. Overall excellent value for money.
Very nice hotel, room very comfortable.
We were a family group, and we had a great time there. Breakfast was very good with different options. Supermarket across the street, located in a good area. Pool is big, and the kids enjoyed it. Covilha is very nice!!!
The experience was excellent! The room was really cozy and the staff were amazing, super nice and friendly people. The location of the hotel is really good and they have two really nice restaurants attached which were really good tho!
The apartment is very good with a lot of space and everything was very clean. The building is new and in a great location, with a lot of parking around. I would definitely recommend this place if you are going to Covilhã.
Clean room, nice bathroom with counter space and spacious shower, Netflix on TV, nice pool and outdoor lounging area, and great restaurant downstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.
Very clean, comfortable and pleasant room with nice robes and slippers.
The breakfast was varied and well prepared.
Because of our schedule we didn't get to use the spa 😔.
The property was very clean, it’s was perfect for my family (4 people). I highly recommend this property if you’re visiting Covilhã or Serra da Estrela!
Modern hotel with pretty standard services. Good room , good but hard bedgood pillow. Great bathroom. Good elevator. Easy access by car. Good breakfast.
