Caldas is a treasure!
Caldas is a treasure! It’s a small, unassuming town, with gorgeous cobbled streets, a very large segment of walking streets in old town, a very beautiful park to meander in, and a wonderful outdoor market open every morning of the year. I found it and its residents delightful and welcoming. I left my backpack in a store and of course it was right there waiting for me behind the checkout, protected by store employees. I so love Portugal and the warmth and charm of the Portuguese people, This town is a beautiful place to stay if you want to do a very easy one day trip to historic Obidos! I highly recommend staying here. Train station is a tiny walk to town.

A great town to visit.
A great town to visit. A good transition point for further travels to closeby towns: Obidos, Fox de Arelho, Peniche and other further towns: Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro. Caldas da Raina itself is also worth visit, beautiful buildings, great park with old building of hospital for evening and all day walks.

Clean, quiet, and safe.
Wonderful to walk in Dom Carlos I Parque. The trees, flowers, and plants are simply spectacular.
The open air or farmer's market has a super selection of fresh produce and flowers.
Definitely eat at Casa Antero, the best restaurant in town for over 50 years.
Be sure to visit the ceramics museum, the Jose Malhou museum, and the Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics factory shop.

The old historical town is amazing.
The old historical town is amazing. Loved the daily fruit/flower market. The Park with it's little lake and surroundings and historical buildings were our favorite, as well as the friendly and hospitable local people.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The location is amazing. Perfect view of the sea from all rooms. Room set up is wonderful and spacious. Beautifully decorated with a great bed and a huge washroom. Breakfast was lovely. The best part of it all was our fantastic hostess Sonia. Sonia made us feel like we were being hosted at her home. She was so sweet and attentive to all our needs. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at a very special boutique hotel on the Portuguese Silver Coast.
Elvira & Alec Siopa were exceptional hosts. They went way above & beyond to make us comfortable. The breakfasts were wholesome & delicious, not your typical continental breakfast. This is not a 5-star hotel. It is a mom & pop operation - warm & friendly - anxious to please. The hotel is convenient to public parking, restaurants, local sights & a wide variety of shops. It has easy access to A8 (major highway) & beautiful beaches. Wonderful experience.
The Lavanda suite that we were in is beautifully furnished and the attention to detail is very evident. Selina and Fabian have created a beautiful oasis. A sponge and dish cloths are provided which we really appreciated.
The property is located close to Caldas da Rainha and Obidos. Views are fabulous. We didn't use the pool because the weather was cool but it looks so inviting.
The property is in the city center so everything is walkable. There are a wide variety of restaurants and cafes in the area. The unit is very homey and comfortable. We also enjoyed the balcony. We wanted to experience what it would be like to live in a small city in Portugal and Caldas and this unit was perfect. We loved our experience and will definitely return.
This hotel was a true surprise to me, very conveniently located in the historic center of Caldas and beautifully decorated with personal themed rooms (each room being decorated by a different ceramist). The service was friendly. We had breakfast & lunch in the great restaurant nextdoors which belongs to the hotel. Everything was perfect!
A newly built hotel in Caldas Da Rainha. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you to Marta, Maria, Claudia, Bruno and Joana, you all made us feel so welcome. This young vibrant team shows professionalism beyond their years. A throughly enjoyable stay and we are looking forward to returning soon.
Very nice interior fit out and small touches which made our stay very comfortable. A great outside porch at the back, which our dog loved. Superb host, who gave some very helpful recommendations to make our stay enjoyable. If we are ba k in the area again, we won’t hesitate to try to book again! Definitely recommended.
The hospitality of the host was incredible.
my girlfriend just felt bad at the night and she allowed us to stay more time.
Breakfast was quite good and complete.
The hotel seems like a private house with a new room with balcony and access to the swimming pool.
You can enjoy a peaceful and a relaxing stay.
The staff (Richard and Edouard) were charming and professional, and went above and beyond in assisting with some technical difficulties (phone and internet). Great location. The room was clean and quiet. Not a bad breakfast.
For me perfect location - quiet, small but enough for one person, close to the main road from Foz do Arelho on the coast and Caldas da Rainha. Mostly, though, it is Nelson's easiness in accommodating little extra requests.
