Great location in the center of the old City, close to museums and Port. The staff was very nice and professional. In the restaurant facing the beautiful Duke of Terceira Garden they serve great food at a reasonable price and a fabulous breakfast. Although right in the middle of Angra it was very quiet. If it were'nt for the unpleasant experience of my first evening I'd give the hotel at least 9 points.

What I liked the most were the old streets, with the buildings, including the Angra do Heroismo Museum. However, there were a few minor annoyances:
1. The Tourust Information booth was useless, and you couldn't book a tour on-site.
2. The routes were pretty narrow, and people parked on the street, and nearly everyone drove, which made it a bit perilous for those on foot.
Nevertheless, the people were nice, and most spoke English

We did a lot of walking as it’s often the best way to get to know a place. Angra has much to offer in the way of history, beautiful public gardens, views - we climbed Monte Brasil - churches and eateries.

Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly.
Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly. Stunning views both looking at Monte Brasil and from Monte Brasil looking back toward town. The pink cathedral was very interesting, worth a stop in. Food was excellent! We especially enjoyed O Forno for dessert and the many tapas restaurants on Rua de Sāo Joāo. We also went scuba diving and found Nuno with Deep Blue Azores to be fantastic - wonderful dive master and very interactive underwater. Wonderful island and already itching to go back!

I was only there for one day, which was definitely not enough! Still, I was able to do a hike at Monte Brasil and explore Angra do Heroísmo downtown. Really recommend Monte Brasil if you are looking for some nature near town. Besides that the view from Obelisco do Alto da Memoria is amazing! I had lunch at Tasca das Tias, a really cute restaurante with great food.

We were very happy with our stay at Terceira Mar. It was the last hotel on our journey before returning home. They were extremely 'Covid aware' with social distancing in the restaurants, cleaning protocols, etc. We selected it for it's access to Agra, its pool and its views of the ocean. There is a nice walkway along the ocean that brings you into Agra. Rooms were very clean and serviced daily. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful - especially with printing Covid documents to return home, etc.
The room was very clean, perfectly designed and had everything one needs. The kitchen with all equipment was a huge plus. There is a parking garage we could use for free. The restaurant is unbelievably good! The breakfast was the best I had in years... We had our dinners also in this restaurant. Very high quality and delicious food. The burgers (vegetarian and meat) were one of the best burgers we ever had. The hotel staff was very friendly. Walking distance to the city center
Efficient, newly remodeled, and well-appointed hotel right in the center of town. We had a great suite that was perfect for the entire family. We were accommodated at breakfast even though we came late and no one hurried us. A very nice and accommodating staff. Very nice pool and sauna. And a magic garden right in the backyard! The whole experience was a pleasant surprise!
Wonderful apartment, well equipped with a large bedroom and bathroom on the ground level and a spacious loft and bathroom upstairs. Great location with an easy walk into town. Huge patio to sit in the sun and have your coffee or glass of wine. A perfect place to stay and enjoy beautiful Angra do Heroismo. Very reasonably priced and very good value for money.
Great location, off the main street, near all stores, restaurants, and shopping. Clean hotel, working elevator, big windows in the room that provide much light and air. The bathroom was a good size too. A good hotel for a quick stay in Angra do Heroismo. The staff was wonderful giving suggestions as to where to eat and getting a taxi to the airport.
Quinta do Martelo is a magical, astonishing place and Gilberto's attention to detail is sublime. The staff are warm, extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Paul and Gilberto himself. The pool is lovely, the setting is exceptionally peaceful with some lovely walks nearby, and the food was delicious. Angra do Heroismo is stunning.
We did not stay because the odor of the hotel was too bad. Referencing Trip Advisor, after declining to stay there. The smell and run down condition is noted several times.
