To me personally Thorn is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems...
To me personally Thorn is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems in Nederland. It is pretty small village but well connect with the nearby main cities. Thorn is very close to the Dutch - Belgian border and Mass river is the border between the two countries here. It is a pretty small quiet place with plenty of cobblestoned narrow roads ready for you to walk or bike. Every white house poses add an unique dimension to the beauty of this small village. Not to mention it has a fascinating history to its white houses which is quite the contrary to the classical Dutch architecture. You could explore a bit in internet to find a lot of its history. If time permit, the museum is the must visit as it offers a lot about the local culture & history. For kids it is a special attraction as they can do a nice treasure hunt! There are a plenty of eateries big medium small which fits the budget of everyone! The place feel quite cozy specially the eateries & restaurants which are mainly located mostly two sides of the church on one of the cobblestoned road. When you keep walking down the archetypical cobblestoned narrow streets , you will surely get lost in your memory. You will continue keep clicking your camera as there are numerous photo options waiting for you that you will surely slow down ! This is a place to take a pause from your busy city life, relax, rejuvenate & have an absolute immersive experience which you will surely cherish for ever!!! It could be best visited during summer sunny days as it will offer you longer days to walk, to bike or just relax on the bank of Mass river!!! It is a must recommended if you like to fall in love with offbeat places!!!

Thorn is a very pretty town and easy to walk around.
Thorn is a very pretty town and easy to walk around. The houses are mainly white and the town is clean and well maintained. There is an Aldi supermarket near the Thorn B&B which is handy. We ate in two of the restaurants - De Wijngaard which was very good and the Crasborn which was okay. Both are quite expensive but I would say that De Wijngaard was worth it. The Wigngoed Thorn Pinot Gris wine is delicious.

Interesting village of white painted houses.
Interesting village of white painted houses. Nice walks around the village and to the nearby and waterways. Hotel Crasborn served lovely meals. I particularly enjoyed sitting out the front of the restaurant under the shade of their umbrella, sipping a beer and watching the cyclists and pedestrians go by.

Thorn was a beautiful town with its bright white buildings...
Thorn was a beautiful town with its bright white buildings and cleanliness. There were no large crowds of people, it was quiet and free from noisy traffic. It was an easy town to get to and a joy to leisurely walk around.
The warm welcome by, I think it was, the manager or owner. The beautiful christmas decorations throughout the hotel and restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely meal, a delicious local dish call zoervleisj (meat stew) paired with a nice bottle of red. The rooms were clean and functional room with comfy beds. Thorn is a picturesque little town with an interesting history. We stayed here on our way to the Cĥristmas market in Monschau. It is very conveniently located as it is close to Maastricht and Roermond as well. We'll be coming back for sure.
This is one of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. The owners welcomed us with a coffee, made restaurant reservations for us and gave other advice. The bedroom was very comfortable and a good size and the shower was great. There was a lot of choice at breakfast time including my favourite, smoked salmon and scrambled egg. There is great attention to detail in everything which made for a very pleasant stay. This is a place I would definitely return to. The town of Thorn itself is also a lovely place to spend time.
Very kind and helpful the owners of apartment. They offered me transport to Weert twice time. This location it is a good option, if we would like to spent few days in Thorn. Close to B&B is bus stop, and Aldik. I ate very delicious breakfast. I would like to come back to Thorn and to B&B. I recommend:).
I loved the location, just perfect for market square, shopping, restaurants and cathedral. Staff was awesome! Shout out to Lois for talking me into the garage and then walking me back to the hotel. (A 2-3 minute walk). And shout out to Max for walking me back when I left.
Nicely located hotel. Since Thorn is such a small town, the hotel is pretty close to everywhere. Everything you need in the hotel is available, decent food and drinks in the first floor and a nice back porch to chill.
Quiet country location just outside the village of Thorn. Nice quiet room at the back of the house with good internet, good bed and good bathroom. Nice breakfast, nice host, nice dog
Friendly staff, located next to the charming town Thorn, lots of options for food. Beautiful lake view from the hotel, you can walk to Belgium if you like.
