The breakfast was good. The location of the property is very good. As it is in the midst of the town. The reception desk arranges for an auto if required and the auto comes in a jiffy. Rooms are kept clean. They even changed the bedsheets after we complained about stains in the sheet. 🤪🤪

Only 2-3 place to see, very nice restaurants where you get south and north indian dishes esp Coonoor Junction was superb. Better to take your own Car to move around. Not to venture out at night time since there are no street lights.

The Xanadu is a beautiful homestay overlooking the Nilgiris at Coonoor. The view of the misty hills from the balcony and the lawn was breathtaking. View of the sunrise over the hills early morning and clouds drifting through the mountains were the highlights of our stay. The experience was very soothing. The rooms are spacious and clean. Food was delicious home made food customised as per preference. Staff was very accommodative, hospitable and caring. Must visit this place for a wondeful experience surrounded by nature.
I travelled alone and was skeptical in the beginning. But once I booked and shared that I was traveling alone and needed some help with the resources, the owner Srinivas garu shared all the info and made sure I landed correctly in the place. In fact the day I was reaching the place, it rained heavily and he sent me a message to keep him updated till I reached the place. Breathtaking views from my room, out of the way hospitality from the owners and wonderful caretakers and delicious food made my trip heavenly.
Size of room was good. Though booking com says allowed for 2, when enquired owner confirmed to be suitable of family with superior family room for 2+2

City of COONOOR is around 4 kms from property. Peaceful and nice place to stay.
The location and the views from the rooms were awesome. We had a room with a balcony and it was very spacious, very hygienic and well maintained. All the staff were extremely hospitable and made us feel at home and welcomed. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable by arranging few of our request. The food was very fresh and appetizing. Breakfast Buffet is the best and balanced. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the hotel. Felt at home
The lawn, the bonfire, the walk at night during misty night (we stayed for 2 nights and it rained both nights - amazing experience). The staff is very polite and helpful. They have a small activity room with a pool table, carrom and a TT table which is OK. My kid was very excited, playing with the ducks and swings. Food was good in quality and taste. Of course not as lavish as a 5 star.
The location is excellent, with an all round view of the valley below. Good dining facilities at the original Old English heritage cottage. Good caretaker Suresh and the cook. Excellent host and owner Mr Yusuf. Very well located with good hotels, bakeries, etc within walking distance. Sim's park and railway station located close by. Serene environment.

The property boasted a truly stunning location, offering breathtaking views that were a feast for the eyes. The hotel staff were the epitome of kindness and helpfulness, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Each morning, a walk in the crisp, refreshing cold weather provided a mesmerizing experience, adding a touch of magic to our stay.
The service specially the two receptionists who had welcomed us very warmly, the safari driver Shabin who had showed us the best places and Khushu Bhaiya-the bar tender who was so friendly and even have given us complimentary ice cream on my cousin's birthday. Overall the place was the best place in Coonoor
Two artists running a hostel, what is there not to like? Liked the colors in the hostel: so vibrant and lively!
Wifi is pretty good for workation but mobile network is an issue here.
The best thing about the property is 'Maya', the doggo. I spent most of my time playing with her, what else do you need :-)
Staff is very welcoming and hospitable; clean, comfortable and spacious facilities; great location (has great cafes and supermarket nearby + close to city center); most definitely worth the price; beautiful view from the room!!
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Coonoor
Lilly akka's veg biryani is worth a try. The host was a girl volunteering ,I think the vibe became quite friendly because of her. The view is nice from the hostel.
The property owner was there to attend. Overall, it's a good place to stay in coonoor on a medium budget over the quill hill road.
The best place to stay in Coonoor. We have been to few other places as well but this location is something awesome. If all you want is peace & serenity, just head to here. We stayed here for 5 days and really didn't have the heart to come back from there. Definitely we will go back again.
A lovely, cosy cottage with stunning views of the hills. Perfect for a family. Mr. Shiva and his team were very kind and took great care of us. Mrs. Kavita and Mr. Selva were really warm and their cooking was fantastic. I will definitely be going back for my next holiday in Coonoor.
Hotel Vivek was a surprise package. The room was huge and had decent amenities for the price. The hotel conducts daily campfire which was the icing on the cake. Room price included breakfast and dinner buffets. This was really convenient since we didn't have to go out food hunting.
Homely ambience, customer friendly service and very cooperative Host. Good chef, tasty snacks and food available. A well maintained garden gives a touch of class. Local sightseeing options arranged by the hotel. A place for relaxation and Meditation.
