The owner was extremely helpful. Gave good information about travel to Ajanta and Ellora caves.
I left my luggage in their care whilst I visited the caves and was offered a chance to shower before my late train.
The room was a comfortable, large, and clean double with fan.

Being able to drink a coffee on the serene lawn, away from the honking traffic, made us feel well balanced. There are two or three high class hotels in Aurangabad, but none have the authentic character of Vivanta. You feel like a Maharaja!
The rooms are spacious and they all look out on the enclosed garden and pool. There’s a ground level where the rooms have a porch and an upper level where the rooms have a balcony. We recommend the upper level rooms. They have more light and a better view. The rooms are cleaned at least twice a day. When you pass a member of housekeeping in the corridor they always wish you a pleasant day and ask if they can do something for you. We especially remember the broad smile of Mr. Shivaji. He made us feel right at home.
Having breakfast is very enjoyable! As early as 7 am you can comfortably sit outside on the lawn, listening to unobtrusive music being played live by a musician while waiters bring you freshly made dosa. The staff is fast and caring. They give you a variety of suggestions. They remember your room number and how you like your coffee. The food is very tasty. We felt pampered every single day. A special recommendation to Mr. Shyamal, Mr. Dhiraj, Mr.Suresh, Mr. Amol and Mr Santosh!
Lastly, we’d like to express our great gratitude to Ms. Shital! She enriched our stay with interesting sightseeing tips and when she overheard at breakfast that my wife had bought a sari she offered to come to the room and help her put it on. She took such care in dressing my wife. The cherry on the cake was when she showed up with fresh flowers and wove them through my wife’s hair. Absolutely beautiful! We took stunning pictures in the garden and went to dinner in transitional clothing.
That evening the chef Sainath Rathod gaves us an exceptional dining experience. We highly recommend his cuisine. Be sure to try out both restaurants. Explore his take on Asian fusion at Tea House and ask for the chef’s special at Latitude.

We visited Aurangabad only to see Kailash temple and Gruhaneswar Jyothirlinga mandir. Kailadh temple is do marvalash and it is different to explain in words. Carving the temple and idols from a mountain is extraordinary talent.
Gruhneswara Jyothirlinga mandir is an auspicious place

Aurangabad is a must visit for both Indian and international travellers. Ajanta and Ellora caves are absolutely breath taking and for an avid history and architecture enthusiast, they make for a perfect getaway. Stay wary of the shopping complex at Ajanta caves as they may try to sell you low par products. Grishneshwar temple and bibi ka maqbara should also be visited. Bibi ka maqbara in the evening when it’s dark and lights come on is a beautiful sight to witness. Taxi is a little expensive and trip to Ajanta caves may cost around INR 3000. Staying in aurangabad for 2-3 days to cover all important sites is recommended. Biryani from the great sagar restaurant is very delicious.

The trip to Ajantha took longer than expected due to road works. There is only a decent restaurant at the cave itself, otherwise not very good ones on the way and will take a day to visit and return.
Daulatabad was a great old fort. Need more maintenance. Bibi ka Maqbara is a replica of Taj Mahal and could be skiped if the Taj is seen,
Choise of local food is wide and great food too. We enjoyed the vada pav and sabudhana vada.
Auto and taxis are plenty and being a tourist destination, the usual high handedness is there. They will demand and can negotiate.
The roads to Ellora is good and require atleast 3 hours at the caves.

Ajanta and Ellora caves were extraordinary.
Ajanta and Ellora caves were extraordinary. Special mention must be made of the last cave (number 26 or 27) which was incomplete to get an idea of how the work was done meticulously at Ajanta. Similar is the case with Kailas temple at Ellora which is constructed from top to bottom and from inside out. Truly a mesmerizing experience. And do eat mutton dishes in and around Aurangabad. Meat is so tender.

The most plus point is - situated at Ellora and Ajanta.
Had a childhood wish to visit them, so I could do it now. The facilities at Ellora and Ajanta from ASI is very good. Both the sites are kept neat and clean. At Ellora - accessibility to disabled is provided. At Ajanta doli and helper facilities are provided.
There is also this Mini Taj Mahal, a must visit place.
Hotels and eateries are available in plenty.
Not much of drawbacks.
I stayed at Hotel Kohinoor plaza for two weeks on a business trip to Aurangabad. The things which stand out at the hotel are it's cleanliness, peaceful environment and excellent service. All the staff went out of their way to ensure that my stay was pleasant and stress free. A special mention must be made for Mr Aalam, who went above and beyond, as far as possible, to cater to my requests. I will definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend kohinoor to my friends and colleagues.
The place was legit so beautiful. I had my mom and dad's 25th wedding anniversary organised there. Literally the best event ever I've done. Loved the support and care that the staff showed. They were the sweetest to me and my parents! Very good Ambience, loved the skill and punctuality in organisation, good acoustics in sound and the carpeting done was nice too!
The soft lighting gives a great look, enough space for activities. Apart from this it was A - 1!!
Itsy By Treebo - Radhika Ex is a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the city. I was pleasantly surprised by the tranquility that this hotel offered despite its central location. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is an excellent choice.

It was an amazing stay at the Click Hotel Aurangabad. One of the finest hotels I have stayed in. Excellent facilities and comfort. Food is amazing. A total value for money! Highly recommended.
Only good thing about the hotel was its location . Many restaurants close by so that you can have breakfast ,dinner and even tea because the hotel restaurant service is extremely bad
The swimming pool, Slounge , desserts and soup at food, best ambience nature you could see natural birds and here sound in the morning.
Garden facing rooms are the best one.
Aurangabad doesn’t have the greatest hotels, this one has decently sized rooms that are clean.
hotel restaurant including staff very good. included breakfast also very good.
Very nice small clean hotel, near airport ( 4 km). Manager Ravi was extremely helpful, organized taxi to Ellora and Ajanta caves and fulfilled all our wishes.
