From a skiing perspective, it's not the most exciting area.
From a skiing perspective, it's not the most exciting area. Although it's really easy to reach (we drove in 7,5 hours from the middle of the Netherlands), the town is a bit lower and therefore snow conditions are not perfect in the valley. Mountain snow conditions were a lot better. I can imagine in Summer it's amazing to hike, for skiing it would not be my area of choice, although I can imagine with young kids it's lovely.AnnefloorNetherlands - 10Scored 10
Service beyond all expectations.
Service beyond all expectations. Passing through and stopped in Lermoos to charge the electric car and spend the night. The Silence-Sporthotel Zugspitze was chosen at random. But... Fantastic service; on arrival we were welcomed, shown to a large and nice room, presented menu and informed that our dog was welcome in the restaurant. Lovely food and excellent service; buffet starter, good soup and perfectly cooked lamb. Exceptional service from the waiters. Amazing. Silence-Sporthotel Zugspitze shows how it can and should be done. It is hereby recommended.

We travel almost every winter to Ehrwald and Lermoos for skiing. This August was the first time we visited the neighbourhood during summer and it was SO nice! Very beautiful lakes to walk to, kids-friendly, really a must-do during summer holidays.

Amazing town with a beautiful view! We didn’t get to explore it as much as we should have but the tone of the town was relaxing and had an excellent selection of restaurants! Lermoos was centrally located for what we were interested in...
Lermoos was centrally located for what we were interested in visiting. The road system was excellent. I only speak English and most facilities had several people that spoke English. The comfort level increased exponentially when there is no issue communicating. We visited Ludwig's castles as well as the Zugspitz, Grubsitein and Tegelburg.MichaelUnited States - 10Scored 10

This is off the beaten track and not over-run by tourists. You get an authentic Austrian experience here and the locals were very friendly. It is in a great location with proximity to several mountains. Highly recommend!!

Rooms are big, design I would say pretty like other mountain-style hotels in Germany and Austria. Make sure you have shampoo, the one in the room is not that good. Breakfast not too varied but tasty. The restaurant kitchen works till 9pm which is amazing, the cuisine is delicious :) There is a gas station right near the hotel with a small shop.MaryiaBelarus

Enjoyed the fresh bread delivery, the spa and the location next to the Hochmoos ski lifts. We didn't make use of the bar/breakfast facilities but it looked very welcoming and the service from Benedict was wonderful. Thank you.

It is also very closed to the cable car of Lermoos. At the middle way of cable car there is a good restaurant and a playground for kids. The room is fully facilitated so we were enjoyed there for several days.
