Leuven is a great city with a lot of late Gothic architecture. You can see the entire city in a weekend. The top sights were the city hall and the Tafelrond with the Cathedral across from it.
The Begijnhof was actually one of the most beautiful places to walk to and through. So peaceful and beautiful architecture.
The Kruidtuin (botanical gardens) were a huge treat. Free entrance. Even in the winter it was fun to walk around.
M Museum is not that interesting. The collection is very small. It took about 1 hour to see everything.
Leuven is a university city but still has a lot of gastronomy. There are restaurants for every budget. I loved the La Cantina Mexican restaurant. Bar Louis was also awesome for drinks before dinner.
The stores are all closed on Sunday so take that into account when you go. I would definitely go back again sometime. You can walk everywhere.

Beautiful small city, with everything within walking distance. There is a very wide range of eating places both in terms of price and type. The train connections are excellent to other local places, Mechelen was especially attractive.

Beautifull, historic city.
Beautifull, historic city. Splendid townhall, beautifully iluminated before Xmas. Library with great arquitecture and tragic 1st and 2nd World Wars history. Countless cafeterias, restaurants, bars, Xmas market at the Groote Markt. For churches lovers - very interesting places to see.
M Leuven - art museum definately worth seeing. I had the luck to see the exhibition "Dieric Bouts. Creator of Images". Oct23-Jan24. Many events connected with this Leuven citizen and artist of the 15th century.

Leuven is a beautiful town with a lot of old and well restored buildings, plenty of eating places and very lively not the least as a result of the student population which consists of walking and cycling Belgian and International students. Although the weather was quite bad we walked around before going to dinner The area around the Begijnhof makes you feel like you go back in the time.
Another great thing about Leuven is that you can do everything on feet as everything is within walking distance.

Leuven is a wonderful university town located 20 minutes by train from Bruxelles, in the Flemish region. Being the city of the most prestigious Belgian University, the town is vibrant and easy-going, with a rich history and several artistic and cultural hot spots of high interest. There is a quiet and fascinating botanic garden that provides a great opportunity for escaping into the peaceful greenery. You can easily walk around, but there is an efficient system of public transport. Several good restaurants from various international cuisines and many hotels are at hand. The University Library is a must: climbing its tower, floor by floor you will go through the history of the town, especially recalling how the tragedies of the two World Wars brutally impacted it. KU Leuven, the university and one of the main institutions of the town, which plays a pivotal role in organising events and cultural activities, offers one of the best university programs taught in English in the European continent, thus the town is authentically international. Moreover, there is the plant where Stella Artois is produced, where guided tours are organised: it is worth a visit!

Leuven was absolutely amazing.
Leuven was absolutely amazing. Getting lost in the sights, sounds & views. I rate Leuven much higher pertaining things to do, spots to explore & indulge your senses. For some people Antwerp, Gent & Bruges may rank higher, but for me Leuven is the better option. It’s off the beaten track, the churches, Groot Begijnhof, the Kruidtuin, even the unforgettable & magical Hal 5 at Kessel-lo. Do yourself a favour & go to Hal 5. You won’t regret
it. Decadenza will serve up gelato that will put Venezia, and even Firenze to shame. Then there’s Danta’s coffee shop…. Oh my word! As confirmed coffee snob, I can only say Fantabulous indulgence.
Leuven is easy to navigate, buses, trains and best of all, on foot, you will be treated to priceless gems.
I would book a longer trip, then I can indulge more and get into the culture and even volunteer at the Chapelry of KU Leuven. Walking along the river Dijl, truly magical.
The location is perfect, it's close to the Heverlee train station and two bus stops. It's close enough to the city center, bakery, post office, and supermarket.
It has a cleaning service every week.
It has a bath tub, kitchenette with necessary stuff, mini bar, TV and enough desk and table.
You can ask for a bicycle, which is a must in Leuven.
Staff members are available by phone although there is no reception desk.
The room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, the blackout curtains did their job very well. Easy walk from the train station (5-7 minutes) but you can't hear the trains at all. Terrific breakfast. I know they have parking but I didn't have a car so I can't tell you about the parking experience. The town square is about a 10-15 minute walk, not bad at all. The staff were all very friendly.
Location is excellent - situated in the main square opposite Leuven train station
Breakfast was great - excellent selection of hot and cold food
Beds were comfortable and the room was clean
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Reception stored our luggage before check in and after check out
The hotel had an elevator
The hotel restaurant served excellent food - would highly recommend
The location of the hostel is ideal for those arriving via the train station.
The staff were very considerate of my late arrival and stayed till the last minute to assist me with check in.
In addition the breakfast was also a stand out. Although it stated to only include the basics there, they had enough variety to satisfy my needs (Coffee, water, juices, cereal, yogurts, etc.).
Location in modern building right beside the train station was good. About 20 minutes walk through the very pleasant streets of Leuven to get to the famous Oude Markt square. Room was comfortable and simple. Front desk staff were very helpful with information, booking taxis, bringing towels, etc. Layout of bar and lobby was good - casual and modern.
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great location and very affordable. I had a spacious single bedroom, large bath room and beautiful view on the Martelarenplein and Central Station of Leuven. Would certainly recommand this place. And will definitely book again next time I'm in Leuven.
Ideal situation of the hotel for moving in and around the beautiful city of Leuven. But beware the fact that there are many noises outside, of course: you are close to the trainstation! :)
Two more good points: the bed is comfortable, the room is large enough.
The hotel is perfectly situated near the train and bus stations, restaurants, a variety of shops and numerous historical and tourist type sights. The pricing is surprisingly low considering all parameters. Breakfast in the morning was amazing!
Very conveniently close to the Train station but far enough from the platforms that it's silent around.
Close to the center for a nice coffee in the morning.
Nice grill place super close at the end of the street.
