The restaurant in the hotel is very good and inviting to eat, feels a bit like a family place. The rooms are large and very clean, also the breakfast was more than you get in other hotels. The staff has eye for detail, I ate gluten free in the evening and in the morning for breakfast I was being offered gluten free alternatives, even dough I didn't ask for it. So great eye for service! All standard amenities were provided, such as tea/coffee making facility, little fridge (with freezer compartment!), two tables, two chairs and an armchair, a separate large and sturdy suitcase bench next to the closet (which is a pleasant bonus one doesn't always get) and of course a modern flat-screen television and free Wi-Fi. The owners are really friendly and spare no effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We stayed at Het Vliegend Varken because we were attending an event in Genk, so we were looking for a comfortable place to stay that was big enough to share with 3 coworkers. Het Vliegend Varken is spacious and easily accessible by car. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the nature and the compound of the accommodation, but it seems serene and perfect for a getaway surrounded by nature.

Upstairs room with reasonable size and equipment, in the end quite pleasant, the first look is a bit deceiving. I don't remember the bathroom, maybe it could use a little innovation, but otherwise fine. There is a bar on the ground floor, but it does not interfere with accommodation.
