Bruges is a picture perfect medieval city that will charm you with its distinctive, century-old houses, plentiful canals and city walls. The famous 13th-century Belfry offers the opportunity to watch the cobbled market place, the Grote Markt, below while 47 bells call out to the city every 15-minutes. While you’re in the Grote Markt you can take a ride in one of the horse-drawn carriages around the city.

A wonderful place like fairytales. We were lucky, it was a sunny day , we took the guided boat trip, excellent experience. The food was not very special but having dinner while watching the sunset behind the mediavel buildings was a unique experience.

Bruges has a charm all of its own.
Bruges has a charm all of its own. Stepping into the historic city centre felt like stepping into a fairytale from a bygone era. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the Blood Church, a stunning architectural masterpiece with a unique blend of Gothic and Baroque styles creating an atmosphere that is both solemn and breathtaking.
We explored the city by boat, gliding along the picturesque canals, we were treated to views of charming bridges, quaint cobblestone streets and centuries-old buildings. It was a perfect way to soak up the beauty of Bruges whilst learning about its fascinating past from a very knowledgeable guide who clearly had a passion for brewing!
The Salvador Dali Museum offered a captivating journey into the surreal world of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. The collection of Dali's works showcased his genius and eccentricity, leaving me in awe of his surrealistic vision and untethered imagination.
Climbing the main church tower with its majestic bells was one of the highlights of our visit - (save up some energy for the climb). The panoramic views from the top were simply breathtaking, providing a bird's-eye perspective of Bruges and its surrounding countryside. It was a moment of serenity and peaceful reflection.
Bruges, a city of timeless beauty, rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality makes it a must see destination.

One of the most beautiful cities in Europe, but can get swamped by tourists during the day. For the best experience, get up early, or stay into the evening, when the hoards from the cruise ships and coach tours leave. Lots of bars and restaurants for most tastes, but like every tourist hotspot, the closer to the main square, the pricier and busier it gets. So do some research first, and check out other choices around the city.

It is easy to get around by foot.
It is easy to get around by foot. You can leave your car in the garage. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. It is beautiful and has plenty of things to see and do. The 366 steps up the tower are worth the effort with a great view from the top. A trip on a river boat is a must, so relaxing and informative. The churches are amazing inside with nice artwork. At lunchtime on Wednesdays the Carrillon bells at the tower play a medley of tunes which is nice to sit and listen to.

Lots of places to visit and things to see within easy reach of the hotel. We tried several different restaurants. They were all very good. Everyone was very friendly. Would highly recommend a trip to Bruges.
The hotel is walk in distance from the train station (10min walk), if you don't want to walk take a taxi, it should not cost more than 10 Euro. The location of the hotel is great, very close to city center, very close to a supermarket if you need water and snacks.
We added breakfast as part of the room, which was amazing, the croissants were fresh along with the eggs and meats.
The hotel staff was always super friendly, always smiling and very helpful.. I'd stay here again if or when we visit Bruges.
The location is wonderful. The location puts you right in the heart of the city. It is one of the most photographed hotels because it is right on the canal and next to the hotel which is in one of the scenes from the movie "In Bruges". Many, if not most, of the rooms overlook the canal. The breakfast has a good selection of cereals, breads, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage and more. The is place to store your luggage, a hotel bar and a wonderful seating area just for guest that overlook the canal.
Location is perfect , room spacious, clean with closets, drawers, bathtub, walk-in shower, tissues, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, minibar, coffee machine and coffee refill, safe, desk…internet quality and speed excellent. Hotel architecture fabulous inside out, private, in the center of Bruges, has an underground parking, staff lovely, breakfast rich…and the price is cheap. I have to cite the details above as other hotels don’t provide them and they price the double. We had an exquisite stay!
Location is fantastic. Steps from the center of everything. 2 streets away from a super market if you want to get snacks(small fridge in room), bottled drinks, etc (although the hotel provided bottled water every day which was REALLY appreciated in the heatwave!). The mattress was the best one of all the places I stayed in Europe (4 different hotels). great night sleep. staff was very kind, mailing postcards and getting us any information we needed. Wonderfully helpful.
We had an amazing stay at B&B Huis ´T Schaep! Our room was lovely and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The B&B as a whole is also very beautiful. The breakfast was amazing - easily one of the best breakfasts we've had in any hotel. We were so appreciative of the warm welcome we received and the owners were so kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone travelling to beautiful Bruges.
Great location within walking distance to the city centre. The staff very very helpful and recommended some important sights. We had a complimentary water bottle in the room. Good attention to detail in the room and hotel. The rain shower was wonderful, being energy efficient at the same time. Bed was comfy and the AC worked just fine. The location is next to one of the best public parking garages we have ever been too. A pleasurable experience.
It is a very cozy hotel in a walking distance from the center of Bruges. The room was exceptionally clean and bigger than we expected, the bathroom had no flaws either. The beds were comfortable - maybe the best ones we experienced so far. The owner/manager of the property was very entertaining to chat with. And yes, she spoke perfect English. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in Bruges.
The hotel itself was nice and the beds were comfortable enough, but what really made the stay was the awesome shower water pressure and the excellent cleaning staff who kept our room looking and smelling great. Really an awesome experience, especially for the price. Also, the hotel was directly behind the Bruges Belfry which made for a very cool and unique experience walking to and from the city center, directly through the belfry.
A budget room close to the Bruges railway station, about a pleasant 1.5km walk to city centre. For a single person room big enough, clean with typical IBIS facilities. Parking for 5.50Euro outside the hotel, but free if you went to the end of the parking area to a vacant allotment alongside the hotels. (not sure about safety for car though). Plenty of food options around the station.
10/10, 5 stars! What an incredible hotel. Mark was an incredible host, providing suggestions both for Bruges but also neighboring cities. The view from the upper floors was phenomenal, breakfast was beyond incredible. Location was about 10 min walk from the city center which made for a very quiet sleep but easily accessible to restaurants and sites.
The room is basic, but ok for a short stay. Probably the cheapest hotel in or around Bruges (expect hostels). If you are passing through, or if you wish to attend a football game (the stadium is within walking distance), it is well suited. It looks a lot like an American motel, so don't expect a typical hotel.
Beautiful building with a lovely garden. The breakfast was good as well. Compared to the prices in Brugge city centre the price value ratio was good. it is about a 15 minute car ride from Bruges. If you don’t have a car or bikes this may not be your best option if the reason of your stay is to visit Bruges.
loved the location in the old town right next to the historic canals. in fact our room was on the canal with water just below our window. 3 min walk to the center of town. excellent breakfast room. very helpful staff although this is mostly a self service hotel. at least in the winter
This hotel can be reached by car fairly easily and still it is very close (at walking distance) to all the main attractions of the city centre of Brugge. You can park your car at the hotel for 17 EURO per day which is one of the cheapest rates that I found.
Great breakfast. Perfect location with parking or public parking close by. Room was very comfortable and everything in the hotel is top quality and maintained to a very high standard. A jewel in Bruges.
