Whenever I come to this place, it's instant stress relief, deep relaxation, and coming back to myself. I particularly appreciate the cozy atmosphere of the old stables, now transformed into modern and very comfortable rooms, and the lovely garden just outside the door. The only reason why I would not come back, some day in the future, is that I will buy my own house in Bilzen. But even then I will still come back to Huize Briers for the tasty cookies and the welcoming smiles !
Location is superb: quiet but still not far away of everything. The staff - and specially Kathleen - are very helpfull with eveything you ask. Breakfast is extensive. Dinner @ Akko is very recommended. Clean roomwith good beds and service. Sauna is great.
Minpunten · one small thing: the hammam was out of service due to Corona. Some evening no place at the parking of the hotel due to the people visiting the pop-up bar and use the parking of the hotel therefor.
I've stayed in many B&Bs and Hotels in many places but nowhere quite compares. The rooms are spacious and quiet and just lovely. Breakfast was substantial with everything you could want. It was a special occasion for my parents and Stefan went out of his way to make it so for them. Sauna was just so nice and relaxing with zen music and insence burning. Just exceptional. Can't wait to go back and stay longer next time.
Fantastic stay and would highly recommend for short or longer stays.
My only qualm really was that the restaurant and bar was closed on the Friday and Saturday evening due to private functions which was a bit disappointing as it would have been lovely to fully enjoy the hotel facilities.
Apart from that , then an amazing stay in an amazing hotel.
A warm heartfelt welcome. A lovely couple, and a cute little dog. The apartment is lovely, designed with harmony, love for details, and the clear intention to make the guest feel comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is generous. In walking distance from the train station, and from Bilzen centre.
The location of the hotel was great and we were particularly happy with the controller pad of the shower, that was situated OUTSIDE of the shower area - it was so well-thought, I wish every hotel had that!
I also really appreciated the free parking in the town of Bilzen :)
super clean , comfortable , great room with good facilities. Breakfast outstanding, homemade yoghurt, bread and ample portions. Better than most hotels. Great hosts who enjoy having guests.
The location was ideal for me as I needed to be close to Bilzen. The breakfast was fantastic. Homemade bread and yogurt with lots more - too much to eat it all. Excellent quality food.
