    The Slender West Lake park was beautiful.

    The Slender West Lake park was beautiful. Some amazing food and an abundance of good restaurants. I visited two unique and very interesting bookshops, with great ideas for enthusing young readers. Getting there from Shanghai at present is a bit of a hassle, but a new bridge and direct rail service should be completed by the end of next year.

    Yangzhou is a third tier city...expect a lower standard.

    Yangzhou is a third tier city...expect a lower standard. I have lived here. There are some very nice parks and gardens, but truly there are many other better cities nearby, like Suzhou. Chinese tourism season here is in heavy in the Spring (plum blossoms) and National holidays. Spring is a great time, but avoid weekends.

    The hotel is located in a quiet zone with a nice river view. The room is spacious with sofa and working desk. The toilel is also spacious with both shower and bathtub, and is provided with full toilet amenities including a weighing scale. The restaruant that serve the morning breakfast is provided with both local and western cusine. There is a nearby distrct with restaurants and supermarket within walking distance.

    The hotel staff were very helpful and professional. It’s very close to many tour sites such as the Slender West Lake, Ge Garden and the shopping district. The amenities are very good at the hotel and there’s a self-service laundromat.

    McDonalds 5 minutes walk away, not 24 hours, 7am. Metro station 7 minutes walk away called Railway Station, on line 2.. KFC, Chinese small restaurants, Bus stops outside hotel, useful small shops .

    staff were very helpful and polite. hotel very near a lovely coffee shop and Lotus garden. taxis were very cheap and really convenient for many of the sightseeing things

    Close to the Yangzhou Station, decent location, but quite a distance from Dongguan Street, Pishi Street. There are public transport option available though.
