We used it as a stopover from Belgium to Hirthals, Denmark.
We used it as a stopover from Belgium to Hirthals, Denmark. We arrived late and the counter was closed. But after calling the emergency number, the responsible was helping us very friendly and efiiciently to our room. It was cold and rainy so we didn't went out in the city. But close by there was a very cosy bar. We were on the top floor with a good view and a nice big bed.The next day we looked at the square close to the hotel but then continued on to Denmark. It appeared to be a nice city we would like to visit again on a later date.Wvel8374Belgium - 10Scored 10
Cute little city.
Cute little city. The old town is relatively large and has many beautiful houses, well worth a stroll and a stop at some of the cafes or restaurants. The canal side has a mix of harbor and cafe/park/places to enjoy the view. Would recommend Rendsburg for a weekend stay.

The old part of town is very relaxing with good possibilities to find a good restaurant with delicious German food or offers form other parts of the world. The canal was breathtaking with alle the ships sailing in and out.

As turists we found the city so nice and pacefully.
As turists we found the city so nice and pacefully. We did a short visit in the area around and we can say that Rendsburg is a place to walk, to enjoy landscapes and to have a proper view of the Nord-Ostsee Kanal. Rendsburg old town is a really lovely area with many good restaurants. Plenty of museums close by and the lake district of Northern Germany in easy driving distance. TheKiel canal is right there to watch ships passing and well worth a trip to Brunsbuttel to see the huge locks that let the ships in from the north seaStephenDenmark - 10Scored 10

Even we had a car we walked a lot cause the location was perfect for shopping and restaurants. If you like a quiet place this is where to go. Bowling in short distance and with Domino take away pizza next door. Easy to drive in town and the area around.

However, the rooms have clearly been refurbished and were modern and spacious. The addition of a fridge was nice. The man that checked us in was friendly and helpful and also served us in the hotel restaurant which was very good. The covered seating area outside the restaurant was particularly welcome on a warm evening. The breakfast was very nice with a good range of hot and cold options to help set us up for the day.

The hotel is spread through several small buildings, to reach some rooms, you have to go back outside from reception and find a different entrance. A bit quirky, but seems to fit the lovely small town. The breakfast buffet was very good.
