The old town is very charismatic and walkable.
The old town is very charismatic and walkable. Also there is a cable car which takes you to a castle on the opposite side of the river. One frustration, for us, was trying to find a German restaurant. Plenty of Italian and other nationalities, but very difficult to find a German restaurant in the Old Town area. Koblenz appears to be popular with river cruises and we believe offers day cruises "in season". We did find one "hidden gem" in the Old Town, Wirthaus am Huhnermarkt. Without a doubt, they serve the best Wiener Schnitzel we have ever had.

I have a lot of photos to share so other people don’t make the same mistake we did. On Entering the hotel we were horrified by the condition of it. I now understand why you only post what the rooms look like. It was filthy. I had an asthma attack almost straight away. The dues, cobwebs broken doors NOT TO MENTION THAT THE WINDOWS WHERE NAILED SO THEY CANNOT BE OPENED. IT IS A FIRE HAZARD WAITING TO HAPPEN AND THERE IS NO WAY OUT OTHER THEN THE FRONT DOOR. FIRST NIGHT WE STAYED ELSEWHERE DUE TO ME GETTING SICK , second NIGHT we spent the night at your Honeybee which was a disaster. YOUR HONEEBEE COST $ 2000 dollars and although we tried to contact the manager to place us else where HE CHOSE TO ONLY COMUNICATE IN GERMAN THEN TOTALLY IGNORED US AND DID NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE. WE BOOKED OURSELFS INTO ANOTHER HOTEL WHICH WAS LOVELY AND CLEAN. SO FAR WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMPASSION FOR OUR 10 days we were supposed to have stayed there. If any one wants to see photos of HOW BAD THIS PLACE IS I AM HAPPY TO SHAER. 🤬😱😢🥺😩📷

Very nice city in itself, full of great restaurants and things to see and do, but also as a starting place to explore the Mosel and the Rhine river in their most beautiful setting. Many opportunities for sightseeing by car, train, and boat. And do not forget the great wines to taste in this part of Germany!

Koblenz was a nice surprise!
Koblenz was a nice surprise! Of course: when you are (like we were) staying in a hotel located in the Altstadt and just walk around in that area, you only see a small part of Koblenz, but oh so nice! The place where the Mosel joins the Rhine at the Deutsches Eck.
It really was perfect. Very friendly greeting at the desk as well as by the lady who kept the excellent breakfast buffet tidy and well stocked. The room wasn’t huge but I wasn’t in Koblenz to hang out in my hotel room all day. I had the window open so I heard the kids going to the nearby school, which made a splendid wake-up service. The hotel was very accessible to the main station, shopping streets, public transport, and shopping at the Löhr Center mall.
The rooms were relatively large, clean and beds were comfortable. The elevator they have was also useful when carrying luggage. Things in the rooms and the hallways looked like being relatively new, so the general impression was good. the hotel is located next to a main road, so access to the travel route was easily without actual time loss. The hotel also relatively close to the old town and the Rhine river, so you can walk there if you like.
Hotel is very nice and comfortable, with elevator, rooms with comfortable beds, desk, coffee facilities, shower. New and clean. Nice breakfast in de morning with hot and cold dishes. Walking distance from the old city. Parking underneath the hotel for 12 euro per night, but you may need to reserve because there is not much room. It is a little difficult to find parking in the streets surrounding the hotel.
The flat is spacious and very new. It might lack personality, but is has all that is needed for a family. The local area is quite nice. Even if it is quite a walk to the old town.
Warning: do not park your bikes in the parking yard behind the flat. We were woken very early by an angry neighbour, who insisted that we move the bikes. Not a nice experience.
Located near Koblenz old town, it was a great place to be able to find so many different ways to approach the centre. There are many buildings worthy of extra time spent and the walks either up the Rhine or the Mosel are a delight. If shopping and eating are your thing then you will be happy with the choices.Cruising is Ok too.
We are missing the day and lost the other hotel, which I booked by accident on different days, i knew about it only when i came to koblenz
So i looking other hotels and this was free
Check in and check out was easy in automat
All i needed for one night were in there
So I was happy that I didn't stay on the street
Thanks)
The location was ideal. Everything I wanted to visit, including the Deutsches Eck and the Old Town were just a few minutes on foot. The rooms were very nice, the breakfast was outstanding. They have a nice bar area to relax and have a few drinks. It was great@
Spacious & clean. Excellent cooking facilities & nice chairs to relax in.
great location, 10 mins walk to train station. Good bakery across road. Supermarket close by, larger supermarket in old town. (20 min walk)
Even though on a busy street, it was quiet.
Location! It’s right on the spot of all the city’s top attractions. Steps away from Deutsche Eck, the seilbahn terminal and the old town. Perfect.
I also commend the clean room, although it was small, but it’s very clean, especially the bathroom.
This stay is central to old town and shopping and dining
The city center train stop is ten minutes with luggage. Simple. Second stop, not HBF.
Don’t let the super 8 logo worry you. In Germany it does mean SUPER. WE added a day of stay.
Very stylish, modern, super clean and spacious apartment with a wonderful, responsive host.
Nice extra touch with lots if amenities.. Coffeemashine, kettle, welcome chocolate, etc. Close to Rhein, old town and castle.
All good. Nice, cozy place, with welcoming staff, nice breakfast. Small room, precisely what I want. Close to the city center and to all important facilities in Koblenz. 5 minutes away from the train station.
Stayed four times in this hotel; always satisfied. Location is busy but close to shopping and old town with several restaurants. Good European breakfast, well kept facilities, friendly and well groomed staff.
Great location at the Rhine river. Short stroll to the old town. Nice large room with Balcony. Breakfast room and terras is absolutely great. Friendly staff. Parking place right in front of the hotel
Wonderful place! Right on the Rhine. Easy walk to Old Town (20 minutes).
Warm reception by staff. Exceptional included breakfast Room 32 had a nice view off the balcony.
Hotel with a homely feel. A large clean and tidy room. Quiet neighborhood. Outstanding staff courteous and friendly. Excellent breakfast and convenient parking.
