It is a cute, calm town.
It is a cute, calm town. It looks like my vision of a small town in Germany. All the locals I met were friendly and helpful. The buildings are pretty. Nature surrounds the town and provides lots of opportunities to hike and bike.

This is not a fried eggs and hash browns place. It's wurst, ham, cheeses, rolls/breads/cakes, fruit and muesli with coffee, tea, juices, etc. The restaurant is much improved, now managed by the owners' son, and deserves a visit. Always some wild game on the menu. Vegetarian too, if you like. Make a reservation! A bit pricey but worth it anyway. Breakfast included.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, informed us of a back exit/entrance (useful for dog owners, like us, who need to take the dog out late in the evening or early in the morning). The room was unbelievably quiet, comfortable and spotless clean. The hotel itself was beautiful, very spacious, elegant, a pleasant place to be. Fast check-out was definitely a plus.
