We have arrived in the evening and the first impression was not so great, the only site we have seen was a big factory with huge chimneys. Later, once we checked in and went for a walk, we discovered nice pedestrian area next to the hotel. It was quite and clean. However, now restaurants open in the neighborhood although it was only 9PM.

Wanted to come 3years ago, due to Covid was not possible.
Wanted to come 3years ago, due to Covid was not possible. I was delighted, that Icould come this year and the city fascinated me. A lot of parks, a lot of room between blocks, wide pedestrians, in the evening music everywhere. Fantastic feeling on the Wine Festival, nice. And friendly people in the city. Very good restaurants, great regional food.

Lots of bars in Innere Klosterstraße.
Lots of bars in Innere Klosterstraße. There was beer festival during my visit. It was so crowded (in a good way).
Karl-Marx monument (nischel) is marvelous.
You see different residental buildings compared to west Germany.
3 days are enough to explore the city.

Transport was poor.
Transport was poor. Trains going to Chemnitz are from Democratic Republic of Germany, i am not joking .. First Class Coach was like Bangladesh trains quality. City is better then expected, but nothing touristic. I eat Chinese food. It was good.

Chemnitz is a city full of students, but there are not many facilities meant for them. There's not much to do - the city is big and the streets are wide, but most of the area is taken by companies.
I enjoyed outdoor swimming pool, the cost was just 2.50e for students and you can stay as long as you want. There's swimming pool, jumping places, volleyball field and even some food available on the spot. In SommerPark on evenings at 8 there are culture events.
Public transport cost 2.20e for a hour, but daily ticket is 4e.

Chemnitz is a little town that is nice for a short day trip or to visit somebody. Keep in mind as an international traveler that you have to have cash on hand as most places don't accept any card not even German cards. In addition: don't go on a Sunday! Everything was closed, even the supermarkets! The walk was nice and quiet, though :) There were mamy options to eat on all days, though. The beers from Reichenbrander Braustübl are definitely recommended and the pizza's from Vegan on the Run were tasty and inexpensive. The industrial museum was a fun visit, especially with the enthousiasm of the employees that walk around!
This place is awesome and I wish we stayed longer than one night. We found this hotel easily and parking was plentiful. Checkin was easy--the receptionist was so friendly and welcoming and we let her know when we'd like to have dinner that evening at their restaurant. Our room was large and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a good size and the shower had good shower pressure and always hot water. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast had lots of variety and was a good start to the day. Checkout was easy, too!
The room is nice and clean with a nice view. The beds are very comfortable. Windows to the main street but if closed no noise. I didn't see the air conditioner but in the room was a fan. I stayed in the hotel at the end of October, so wasn't hot. Breakfast was very good for 12.5 euro per person. For my boy, 8 years old, was free of charge. The hotel has parking for 11 euros per night. Parking is very close to the hotel but needs a reserved place. The staff is very friendly and speaks very well in English.
Apartment is located in a nice old quarter of Chemnitz . Very nice and quiet area. Bakery, a supermarket and good restaurants are nearby. The apartment is very clean. There is a well equipped kitchen where you have everything for self catering and the washing machine in the apartment. Definitely will come again.
Well located Hotel in a historic building of the communists. Price/efficiency was good an you have a good view to the Karl-Marx-Monument and the wonderful building behing, also the hills behind Chemnitz. Curtains are dark, so you can sleep well in this dark and quite room!
Location is perfect, close to high-way. Parking in front of hotel, you can see your car from the window. Shower gel and soap in rooms provided :) All in all very good price for this quality taking into account that it is Germany and it can get pricy here.
Standard hotel with standard rooms but really clean and really perfect for my one-night-stay. I could easily reach it walking from the train station. The area seems to be safe, but I can't really say.
At walking distance there are cafes and small shops
Everything. The room was amazing, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel itself beautiful and pleasant. We had te check in and they have a key system that worked perfectly remotely.
The value for money was unbeatable.
This is so lovely hotel. Wery helpful and welcoming staff. Big, clean room, comfortable beds. There is a good sound isolation from the street. Tasty breakfast. Parking just next. It was very good experience, thank you!
Great Location, almost everything is in walking distance. Very comfy accommodation, online description was accurate. Would book it again whenever I visit Chemnitz. Host is very responsive and takes care of guests.
Perfect healthy breakfast, truly helpful staff, and a secured parking lot. I truly recommend the place for any traveler visiting Chemnitz. Besides, my pet dog was happy with her stay as well :).
Everything needed was there. Super friendly host, helps with the local needs. If I ever going to come to Chemnitz again that's the spot where I'll be staying again. Thanks for everything!
Very cozy, cleanly and comfortable. The hotel is relatively newly renovated, which may not be clear from the outside (quite an old-school facade), so a bit of a hidden gem.
