I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge.
I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge. It is funny how the stores do not really follow an opening/closure schedule so if you might like doing some shopping you should forget about the beach day and walk around the nice stores. There is a nice and new art gallery called Bagira Artist and Gallery, the artist is an open heart person and her job is superb! She allowed me to visit the installations during a time that everything was closed.

For the price that was charged I expected way more.
For the price that was charged I expected way more. For instance they don't have any parking on site. Very often the closest on-street parking I could find was a long walk away and this was very frustrating. The room we stayed in was shown as ocean view but it was kind of a side view. Again, this would have been fine for much lower cost but at about USD 350 a night I expected at least parking at the facility (even if it meant paying some more). Also charging for Coffee pods was silly, keep in mind I was paying USD 1350 for the stay and they wanted to add 5 more bucks for the coffee pods!
Outside of the above, rest was fine. One of the staff was very helpful. Place was very clean and the the full property was well maintained. The main tourist area is about a 15 minute walk so the location is not bad.

Willemstad, capital of Curaçao, enchants with colorful Dutch colonial style architecture, as in Punda and Otrobanda. Its crystal clear beaches offer spectacular diving. The floating Queen Emma Bridge and the Floating Market are attractions to be seen.

I have been to Curacao twice, and still have not been to Mambo Beach. Otherwise the downtown area is a must for a visit. The point in bridge at night lights up, you have the Curacao sign, the Dushi sign and the iguana. All around just a beautuful island with beautiful people.

Willemstad is an authentic and colorful Caribbean city with a very interesting Dutch colonial architecture in both sides of the city. To my surprise, I found that Otrobanda (where we've stayed) has been beautifully renovated with some parts full of cultural buildings, museums, small colorful streets and excellent street-art displays. The highlight is the magnificent view of the harbour and the bridge that rotates full of lights, it's an spectacle!
There isn't a frequent or reliable public transportation, almost none in the city. I found it very disappointing to be obligated to rent a car or take Taxis to get around.

I was there for work so I really had no time to enjoy much of Curaçao and Willemstad. But the city felt nice and safe. It has a beautiful architecture that really reflects its UNESCO world heritage status. I enjoyed the visit to the acquarium on Mambo beach, the bar at the windsurf school at Spaanse Water and the maritime history museum downtown. Still a lot of things to see and I didn't even make it to the beach!
The hotel is visually incredibly colourful and charming, inside and out. Rooms are large and comfortable, and their restaurant/bar area (overlooking the ocean) is one of Willemstad's loveliest spots. Beyond that, the staff truly went above and beyond to make me comfortable and welcome. Rosy at the front desk was always ready with a smile, a suggestion, or a way to ensure that I had everything I needed. And shoutouts to the bartenders whose fantastic conversation, and solid cocktails, helped me work from the hotel in grand style.
I must commend Mr. David: our room had an air-conditioning issue and he worked until 11.00 pm to have it resolved. he was most patient with me and I appreciate it.
The hotel's location is 100%..given its proximity to Curacao's highly visible attractions, bus service and the Rennaissance Mall - just excellent. In addition, there is a guaranteed sustenance from KFC, Piza Hut and Subway as well as some nearby groceries. You cannot get anything better than looking out on Queen Emma Bridge and being a few feet away.
WOWO!!
We had an excellent stay at B&B Toni Kunchi. We stayed for 6 nights and we immediately felt at home. The location is very quiet and safe. The room was nice, airco working perfectly, good beds and with a fridge to store some food. We also liked the swimming pool and the rooftop/veranda where we spent quite some time. And a special thanks to Simône who took very well care of us with a varied breakfast each day, a smile, and some useful tips for things to do in Curacao. Absolutely recommendable!
The staff was incredibly friendly, and even responded to our messages outside their normal working hours.
They accomodated many of our requests.
The location of this hotel is also excellent, after walking for a few minutes, you are directly in the area of the "Handelskade".
The room itself, free toiletries, balcony, and sea-view were also very excellent!
The food on the rooftop is also quite good, overall we definitely recommend this hotel!
The lodge was much nicer than I had expected, for such a hot country, it was very cool inside and I had no issues with the lodge at all. The beach was a mere 5 minute drive away, with free access to guests staying in the lodges. Probably the best beach I visited in my time in Curacao, quick service bar, with great cocktails. My friend has a gluten allergy, and the resturaunt on the beach was very accomodating.
The huge terrace with a fantastic ocean view. The area is very quiet and away from everything other than the best beaches in Curacao, that’s what I was looking for. If you want to be in the middle of everything this is not the place for you. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished and the host, Juliette is always available if you need anything. The small pool is nice for a quick dip at the end of the day.
We had a very nice stay at the Pietermaai Botique Hotel, the staff was very friendly. We could drop some luggage already 3 days before arrival, and on the day of arrival they even spontaneously organized us a late checkout for the next day, since our flight was at 9pm. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the whole hotel is nicely decorated. I will definitely go again when visiting Curacao again!
Beautiful property and beach. Hotel has a lovely atmosphere, with wide spaces, comfortable rooms and amenities. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying here as a couple or as a family. Easy access to a beautiful beach with lots of beach chairs and service. I forgot my kindle at the end and they took it to me at the airport - really went the extra mile.
The property is located in a really good position, near the center, and basically gives access to everything you need. The staff was super accomodating and assisted us with everything we needed. Is definitely not a 5-star hotel but the price is definitely good when compared to the rest of the hotels in Curacao.
Centrally located. Close to
Beaches, grocery and shopping. Quiet and safe location. Definitely a home away from home.
Suzy was an amazing hostess. She was always available to address any of our questions. She was even kind enough to meet us halfway when I realized my GPS didn’t work in Curacao
The location is the main feature here. Near everything you would need. Curaçao island is big so this is an important issue. The rooms are clean, the facilities within the hotel are nice, and their parking is very convinient. The staff is nice and professional.
It’s the best budget option for accommodation on Curaçao. The hostel is very beautiful and clean, the dorm with 16 beds didn’t actually feel like a dorm because it’s more like a cabin style with lots of privacy. It’s also very near to everything.
I liked nothing. It is a scam
When we reached it was a dance school. ROA dance school curacao , google it. The lady there had the nerve to, she also wasted our time, gladly we got help from the neighbors😪
the location is superb the middle of Punda. they have a magnificent view. I think they will uplift the rest of the neighborhood. a good thing for Punda specifically and Curaçao in general.
