the way the city sits on the mountain is fantastically beautiful. It's all white buildings, very charming. The town itself is interesting to visit for an afternoon, or a day. The streets are very crowded with cars and there is a lot of exhaust, there are also souvenir and silver shops everywhere, so it felt extremely crowded and touristy. great church and zocalo, worth visiting for a day. I don't think you need more time than that. Also the caves on the outside of town the Grutas de Taxco are fantastic and totally worth a visit.

We contacted with the turist guide that the hotel recommended. He worked for about 2 hrs with us for a donation. Great town to visit by foot. Great prices on silver. Safe town to walk at any time. The hotel has its own mine.
Restaurants terrace for dinner in downtown are a most.
Visit the Crist, nice town view from there. Take a VW taxi $35 pesos return and wait over there 15min.

Beautiful tourist town.
Beautiful tourist town. All the businesses of the town were accommodating to non-Spanish speakers, and many shop employees spoke at least a little English. There were many people in the town square who wanted to "guide" us to various things with the expectation that we would tip them, but we were able to say "no" without reprisal. Many soldiers and Federal police officers were on patrol in the town which proved to be good for keeping the populace safer. Prices of souvenirs, food, alcohol, taxis, and hotels was very reasonable.

The town reminded me of Spain...charming, rustic, and with an old-world air. Loved the town. Wish I could have stayed longer than two nights and seen more. I hope to return one day. It is now a favorite town in Mexico.
Beautiful colonial town. Exceptional architecture. The ones with some money or with big money, trying to cash in more and more on mass tourism, national and international, building 2 and 3 more 3 floors for renters on top of old colonial houses and hotels. Height of these constructions not so impressive from street level, but scary, considering earthquakes, when seem from bottom of hill.

The location on the main square was excellent and surprisingly the room was fairly quiet. We got a room on the lower level and in the back, there was no view, the window faced a small alley with only minimal foot trafic. Ear plugs are provided so i guess other rooms are not so quiet. Shower was great. The onsite restaurant maybe had the best food in Taxco. The valet parking fo 100 pesos a day was great. Taxis are 30 - 40 pesos so no need for a car while you're in town. The hotel pool and bar are great, very European feel back there.
Great food in the restaurant. Amazing view and the entire property grounds. Big, clean room. Mine was by the pool that used every day. The terrace view is breathtaking and restaurant has amazing food and service. Makes you want to spend the whole day in there. Given the fact that this is one of the best hotels in Taxco, the prices are more than reasonable. I’m seriously planning to stay here again with my family next year.
The hotel is lovely for the cost, and the staff very friendly. I visited with my girlfriend for my birthday, and Ruben from the staff helped her prepare a surprise for me! This was far above and beyond what I was expecting, thank you Ruben!
The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful, and the room very clean
This is an older hotel but it's so traditional and nice, the property is well taken care of, it still feels extremely Mexican the menu had traditional Mexican food and the whole environment felt very authentic. I LOVED the music trio at breakfast, very good.
The cable car is superb!
The location was fantastic. A friend from Taxco recommended the hotel to me so honestly I didn't research much about it.
But wow, it's literally right in centro.
We also loved that the hotel is like a little maze, with various terraces to explore.
This is one of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed in. It's so characteristic, even by Taxco standards. Beautiful doesn't do justice to how nice the hotel is, and the location could not be any more perfect. Gracias a todos!
This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff where super friendly and we all used a lot of goggle translate due to our lack of Spanish. Food was lovely views spectacular and the room massive comfortable and clean.
amazing little hotel. perfect location. stuff was very friendly and helpfull. breakfast was not included but was very delicious and big portions.
we loved our stay, unfortunately we could stay just one night.
beautiful hotel, wonderful balcony, giant and gorgeous pool, historical mural completed by an artist is part of the property. super clean, gorgeous views of the town from the restaurant pool.
location was great. You have to remember that mining town are hill. So we walk up and down roads. Then you go to hotel for a restful nite. Good house keeping , good location.
