Sadly tourists are not really catered for.
Sadly tourists are not really catered for. Brochures were beautifully presented but when we arrived at the locations they were either not open or had very poor facilities / or nothing to "look at"

Traralgon is not really a tourist destination in my eyes.
Traralgon is not really a tourist destination in my eyes. It just happened to be in a convenient location for us to chill for a couple of days and do short walks and longer drives, before moving on to our ultimate location. There are delightful parks in the area, as well as lovely scenic drives. We found it fun to visit other nearby towns as well.
Creek Cottage Bed and Breakfast, hosted by the welcoming Leiana, is a true gem. The tasteful decor, cleanliness, and generous breakfast provisions create a cozy retreat. Leiana's helpful and responsive nature adds a personal touch to the experience. Conveniently located near Traralgon's centre and nestled opposite a charming park and creek, Creek Cottage B&B is a top choice for a memorable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!
Room is clean, continental breakfast a nice bonus, bed very comfortable and the chair in the corner was great to sit in. Hot water in Shower was great. Price you can't beat. If you aim to explore the area and just basically sleep in the motel . This is very suitable amd really can't be beaten. Also there a metal shutter on window which can opened or closed by electric switch, that keeps out light and noise and cold.
At the end of the day, I paid $99 - that was cheaper between $21 and $120 compared to other places in the locality. Given i was checking in at approx 6pm and departing at approx 8am, i really only needed a bed, TV and shower. I got that! So i was happy and satisfied. It was 100 meters from work, 400 from center of town..... shops.... fuel..... perfect. Plus free breakfast!!!
The hotel staff truly exceeded our expectations. We were part of a group with a late check-in, and they made sure everything went seamlessly, offering exceptional assistance.
As for the room, it pleasantly surprised me. Despite the hotel's age, I couldn't find a single fault. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the room had a wonderfully fresh scent.
The motel is well aware of the noise factor, being on the highway, so you can lower a metal shutter over the windows at night. The room has been upgraded, it is comfortable and a basic 'tea & toast' breakfast is provided. There is a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, so it wasn't necessary to be out for dinner. The location was very central.
Friendly staff who are clearly committed to building a new and much improved reputation for this motel. Spotless rooms, tasteful, neutral colour palette, sustainable choices in toiletries and generous in room treats all contributed to a comfortable stay. Continental breakfast offered variety and quality options. I would definitely stay again.
The rooms were clean and spacious without being wasteful with the space. The Motel was in the heart of Traralgon so food was accessible, there was a microwave, toaster and kettle for reheating - just enough for our needs. Continental Breakfast available, simple but one thing off the list to think about for a busy time away.
Excellent location, behind gas station, off from freeway, got a little road noise at first but closed the doors and its OK. This motel is one of the best a few remaining local motels in Gippsland, stay here, must support local 👍
Pet friendly is huge bonus for us, we stayed with our white fluffy girl.
Comfortable, clean room and hotel. The restaurant downstairs was lively and accomodating and the food was super yummy. Staff were friendly. Other patrons were not disruptive and the location was excellent.
The staff were lovely and very accommodating of our late check-in.
Our room was spotless and looked brand new.
The breakfast was fresh and fantastic as well. Best omelette I have had at a hotel.
