We were happy with our stay. The bed for Elizabeth was too firm for Todd was OK. We had appointments most morning, so we were out and came back around 2 pm or 3 pm. but one day we came back early and the room had not been refreshed, we went out to have lunch, then we came back and still had not been refreshed. We had to get up early the following morning so after a walk, we started to relax and then we heard a knock on the door about 4.30 pm or 5 pm with room service, we were tired so we said don't worry about today, but then the following days, again we came back and our room had not been refreshed - so we didn't bother with it all. We kept the room tidy anyways. The breakfast was good for us, the only thing for Elizabeth is that she doesn't like scramble eggs with milk or whatever other things are put on and the bacon was overcooked, but we found some pieces of bacon that were not too hard. We loved the yoghurts and fruits and the hot chocolate (we had to manage the sweetness and it was supersweet but we had to pour some then add hot milk to it. But these are just minor issues, we made do. We love the staff, especially at Reception - Maya :-) and others we did not catch their names. Todd said there could be more variety for the breakfast.

I liked that it was in a leafy part of town and close to access for the M1 and north Conex. also that there was a McDonalds nearby and that the station was only a 10-15min walk away and close enough to the city and also to the metro to not be too far to get to.
It is pretty easy to find just follow pennant hills road up from the motorway....
to avoid any road noise, get a room on the rail side of the hotel at IBIS pr car park facing on the northern side... train meanwhile is about every 15 during the day and Epping not far away to then connect to the metro or the Newcastle train if u want a faster trip....
all in all, a lovely area to stay in... :)

Staff were very courteous and helpful.
Staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was basic but quiet, clean and comfortable reflecting the very reasonable daily tariff. My only criticism was a ten dollar per day surcharge on car parking and which was not clear or obvious on Booking.com website. Would stay again when in Sydney and would recommend to friends and family. Thornleigh was easy to access but limited in places to eat.

While we are in lockdown, staying in Thornleigh is a brilliant move. This suburb has historically had very low rates of Covid. If you want to avoid the standard chain hotel set-up, staying in this unit is a great move. This is also a short drive to the business hubs in Epping, Ryde, Chatswood. The hills, bush, and birds are as beautiful as in the nearby Lane Cove National Park.

We have stayed here quite often over the past 2 years. It has certainly gone down recently, but we like its close proximity to Newcastle expressway, a Bunnings store and two very good Asian restaurants for evening meals.

Easy access, convenient location.
Easy access, convenient location. Dependable standard of comfort and convenience. Would be interested to know if Thornleigh Ibis is likely to be pet friendly as we have a small dog I would love to have with us on short trips.
Comfortable beds. Friendly staff and welcoming foyer/restaurant. Onsite parking. Easy walk to Thornleigh train station, supermarkets and restaurants. The rooms are very soundproof and you don’t hear the nearby busy road or trains.
The restaurant was good, both for brekkie and supper. I love that they have books available and the are in the lobby was great to meet people and pass the time.
I also liked very much that the hotel has a guest laundry.
I always stay here when I visit Thornleigh. it is convenient, has on site parking and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Good value, neat and tidy rooms that were made up every day. very comfy beds
This is not five star and not a five star price. Great hotel for the price and the dinner was well priced and lovely, we both had the curry. Parking is free and plenty available.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean, the hotel was quiet and suited our needs for the weekend, the staff were helpful and I was grateful to get a triple room.
Room was quiet despite being near major road and railway. Breakfast and meals were reasonably with good choice. Great having a few restaurants a short walk away.
