As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great.
Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

It is a bustling city. Not a sleepy country town.
It is a bustling city. Not a sleepy country town. Numerous clubs, cafes and places to eat and drink.
Difference people are warm and friendly.
Large shopping complex with numerous shops along the main street.
Everything you would find in a Sydney suburb.
Visiting during the Country Music Festival is a bucket list experience for anyone into County music.
A great choice of accommodation.

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at
Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.

Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia...
Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia, this is backed up by the Australian Country Music Hall Of Fame, and the Big Golden Guitar monument/motel. One thing about the Hall of Fame is it does close at 4.00pm, and as I have never arrived in Tamworth before this time, I truthfully cannot say very much about it. It's still on my bucket list.
It's a beautiful city, nestled in the Great Dividing Range at a height of about 500 meters, so it does get a bit chilly in winter, (Armidale, 100k+ to the North of Tamworth has been known to get snow when the weather gets very cold) so take extra woollies in the winter if you go then.

The views from Oxley lookout were spectacular. The country music hall of fame exhibits were excellent. Main Street at night is very pretty. Motorcycle museum was fantastic.

For Tamworth to be known at the country music capital of Australia I was disappointed that there was not one pub or club known for having country music . Other than that it was okay . We visited the Golden Guitar. The look out was a great view . The kids park is great for the kids . Other than that not much to do in Tamworth . No we’re near Nashville. Maybe we need to visit when country music festival is on but don’t need to visit Nashville when the CMA is on to have fun or listen to country music or visit a country music bar .
I would have to say that Econo Lodge Gateway is the best Motel I have stayed at in my traveld. Fantastic and friendly staff. Most helpful. Clean fresh room. Great size and comfortable bed. Best so far in Tamworth. Thanks for the great stay. Value for money with great bfeakfast. Bad a very nice meal at the Restaurant. Fantastic service there too.
Easy access from highway, fuel available over the road and take away across the road. A good sized room with a couch and table. Refrigerator had soft drinks at a very good price even though we did not utilize them.
Motel units were on a side street and off the highway so noise was limited.
Staff called the morning of checkin to let us know our room number and that room was ready as it was Easter weekend Great location, the beds were soft but comfortable, and we all slept well, facilities clean, very quiet even though its on the main road and hotel was almost full
Everything! We loved everything about this place, so well set out, plenty of outdoor space which was manicured to perfection! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and had KING size beds!
Cannot fault this Motel, well worth staying here when visiting Tamworth.
We loved everything about this property. It is clean, spacious with character. The breakfast items were very much appreciated. It is walking distance to the shops and close to a lovely park.
It is worth coming to Tamworth just to stay in this beautiful house.
Rooms are spotless and have everything you need in them. Owners are fantastic, very warm and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Would definitely stay again. My new go to accommodation while in Tamworth.
South Tamworth Motor Inn was absolutely fantastic! Very clean, comfortable and central to everything. Stuart at the front desk was so lovely and helpful he gave us advice of where to eat and it certainly paid off!
Great motel. not overly big, so not a lot of people which is good. Decent sized room. we had 4 people. No extra blanket or pillows though. Price was good for one night for the 4 of us.
Room had been renovated & was large with lounge & full size fridge & microwave. Room was spotlessly clean. Parking right outside door. Would stay again when in Tamworth.
Longyard hotel is right next door. And most importantly, they don’t cancel your booking on the day of arrival like they do at the shitty Amberoo apartments in Tamworth.
