Tailem Bend was a lovely place to stop on our travels. From the pelicans flying through the sky when we got there, to our wonderful meals and view at the Riverside Hotel. We would definitely recommend stopping at Tailem Bend.

Up at 5.30 after a Xmas party with DJ finishing very late was hard during the day.
Air con didn’t work properly so I was hot and uncomfortable and couldn’t open windows due to party and truck noise.
I tried this accommodation to see if it will suit m regular visits to the track but it didn’t work at all

Staff are so eager to help and came to our rescue when we could not figure out the air conditioner controls . All met us with a smile and answered all our queries.

The Excitement was taken away very quickly by staff .. (but it was a personal negative experience).. if you live & love cars and racing go you won’t be disappointed... but “Bathurst in my opinion” is far better all round.

Friendly country town; I only stayed one night but will definitely be back for longer! Dinner came from the Tailem Takeaway & Pizza, and I ate at the ferry overlook, beautiful scene for an outdoor meal. I missed the Big Olive and Beston Jervois for lack of time however they are on my list to revisit.
Railway Museum is chock full of info and the 'Uneek' animals display is well done. The Jervois Rhino always gets a cheeky selfie too. Old Tailem Town is incredible, it really feels like a time-warp and is a fantastic look at Australia's past. Well worth a day to visit (expect 2-3 hours to walk around for the full experience). Ten out of Ten, Tailem!

Old Tailem town is a highlight, worth a visit.
Go Karts was heaps of fun out at the Bend.
Great Bakery, and the pizza place was good also.
Was told one of the pubs was better than the other, but to be honest couldn’t fault either, you will get good food and service from both.
