Although I was born and grew up in Sydney, I haven’t lived there for many years. However, while I would not want to live there again, I enjoy my trips to Sydney for various concerts and stage productions and sightseeing. I think the addition of the light rail to public transport is wonderful.

We love Sydney especially, around Circular Quay - Botanical Garden, Darling Harbour & Chinatown/Hay Street. We almost cancelled staying in Mascot as our favourite spots were not within walking distance from Mascot but the train station was so close by so we didn't miss out on anything.

First time visit to Sydney and I was surprised how easy it was to get around! Tap and go paying on buses, trains and ferries. Could not be easier to move about. The beaches were amazing (clear water, white sand, clean), super simple to get there on the ferries (you don't have to wait too long for the next one to come along). Everything signposted so you can't really get lost! Food outlets to satisfy the fussiest eater. We found it better to get to the tourist spots early to beat the crowds.

Very clean and safe city - world class by any standards. However, pretty expensive (even for a Canadian!) and the main tourist attractions were far too crowded for my liking. Our travels along the east coast though, up to Rockhampton, were superb and most enjoyable - highly recommended.

An early morning walk with sunrise along the foreshore was the best, through the rocks along circular quay then through the botanic gardens before the city gets busy (apart from joggers) was just wonderful. That was amazing but that's me I like early mornings even after a 1 am bed time,, not for everyone.

Excellent location - very close to CBD for shopping, Opera house and Quay, Botanic Gardens and Gallery, and the other way loads of amazing restaurants around Darlinghurst and the Cross. Bed extremely comfortable. Surprised to have great view including harbour in the distance. Fixtures and fittings a little old and tired but all was exceptionally clean. Not a high-end hotel but perfectly fit the bill for us - mum and daughter in Sydney for the ballet, shopping, and nice dinners. I will stay there again.

value for money/the location was fantastic - perfect for those wanting to visit the cbd and the eastern suburbs / beaches. The executive room/s is worth every penny, not many hotels in the Sydney cbd or eastern suburbs with a balcony/terrace (and a sizeae one you get with the executive suite) views are lovely, it was quiet at night, comfortable and the room had an everything you needed and extra surprises. Written by an ex Sydney sider, I will definately be back.

I like the lovely, welcoming Federation-style decor, ensuite bathroom, private balcony overlooking the garden and microwave oven. Location is great, close to Northern Sydney CBD but really quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Also love the metal keys, which don't keep failing all the time like the "access" (Not!) digital cards used by hotel chains! Very good value for money, especially compared to other northside hotels.

Very good hotel with shuttle to the airport. The shuttle was expensive imo at $20p/p. Could have caught a taxi for that travelling as a couple. The hotel is quite funky and new but the beds are not as comfortable as many other hotels we’ve stayed in. The staff are super friendly and very willing to assist with anything. Overall is was a good stay if you are looking for something close to the airport.
