Maryborough has the Brogla Theatre which is a very popular destination, accommodation wise Maryborough prices are cheaper than Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is only a 1/2 drive, Maryborough has some nice restaurants, or pub meals, for better value prices. It's an easy town to get around, and nice to stay for a short stay.

Maryborough is a lovely country town to walk around with many beautiful traditional buildings. Fabulous and well kept gardens. Queens park is a must to visit and to walk by the river. Don't miss the Portside museum, Mary Poppins statue and the Mary Poppins figure on the walk and don't walk pedestrian signs at the traffic lights. Really helpful and friendly people with many comfortable cafes selling quality coffee and locally made savoury and sweet items. Fun, interesting Thursday morning markets with home made products and quality fresh produce to see and to buy. Overall, a traditional, friendly country town experience.

An historic town that is very under rated. Far too many interesting places to see in a short stay. The museums/galleries were excellent - particularly the "Story Bank" - P L Travers (Mary Poppins) birthplace.

At the Carriers Arms, the meals were excellent, and the accommodation was value for money. Its location is ideal on the edge of the CBD and a short trip to the Brolga Theatre. The Brolga Theatre is also a perfect venue, just the right size.

Didn't get to see much, as my Husband was at the Pistol Club Shooting Comp all weekend . We have been to Maryborough heaps of times, it is a lovely place to visit. My Great Grandparents settled there when they came out from Ireland, my Grandfather was born there. I feel a connection with Maryborough every time we visit. Thank You Cathy Barnes

We have now found our Maryborough haven as everything at the Old Station Masters House is superb. The care that our beautiful host Wendy puts in to ensuring her guests have everything they need is incredible. We could not fault our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was so comfortable and our breakfast was delicious. Thank you for everything, Wendy....we'll see you again very soon xxx

Great apartment! It's right in the town of Maryborough – you've got private parking off the street, and can walk to all the shops and restaurants. Apartment was excellent, very comfortable and well-appointed with a full kitchen and large fridge. We stayed here for a week on a work trip, and it was perfect. We met the owners and they're lovely too :)

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and knew guest's names. The room was modern and comfortable and also very clean. The hotel also offered Room Service dinner delivered to the room which was very convenient if you were from out of town. All in all a very good stay and would definitely stay again when visiting Maryborough.

the attendant who welcomed me was lovely. Made sure i was able to lock my door and had everything i needed. It is basic, but if you are looking for cheap with a good location for a one night stay, this is the place. Just off the highway, you dont need to go into maryborough. basic amenities but for a place to sleep, its fine.

Everything was perfect for our needs. Everything is comfortable and nice smelling meaning clean and fresh. This place is a 10/10 every week of the year compared to other dumps in town. Also staff/ service and 24 hr express pin check ins are much much needed.

Our second stay here (which we would not do if we didn't like it). The associated hotel next door serves very good meals. The motel building is quite old but the owners have done a great job in the renovated rooms.
