Loved everything about this stay, the only small detail I would bother mentioning is that the bunk mattresses were a little uncomfortable but, location and value for money is great. Also the staff were lovely and helpful. Grafton was great.

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. Right on the river there are some great little spots to fish, sit and look at the river and its occupants go by or have a picnic with a significant other lots to do and see around Grafton.

It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find.
The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.

Ann and David were perfect hosts.
Ann and David were perfect hosts. I wish we had stayed here on our way to Queensland before. Would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends. The cooked breakfast was really good.
The cuppa and home made cake David made was an extra treat on our arrival.
Will stay again for sure. Ros & Keith xx

We were there for a race meeting, very lovely race course and enjoyed the day greatly. Great pubs and restaurants close to the Civic and race course. Easy to get into the main area via the new bridge.

Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained.
Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained. Kitchenette was from the 60's. Water in bathroom basin only had hot, shower needed a good scrub, mould on shower ceiling. No air con in main living area. Window that looked onto motel walkway curtains did not cover properly so people could see in when they walked past.
Very over priced & over rated by others, are you sure they actually stayed there. Bates hotel would have been better.
Town was on valium. Where has the old charm of Grafton gone?
I would give Grafton a big miss.

Sadly it was raining the time we were there which limited what we were able to do. But we walked the main street and had brunch with friends who live there, who we had gone to see on our way home from our big trip South. It looks like a lovely town.
No breakfast offered. Bed is it least 15 years old and was less than queen size as advertised. There were cobwebs behind the main door and in the corners of the main door way. The light above the bed did not work. There was no fly screen for the courtyard, which was heavily greens in the answer of mosquitoes. The main issue was the bed was too small and very old as were the pillowcases. We have been travelling for over 3 1/2 weeks and this was the worst hotel we stayed in.
Anne and David were absolutely lovely in seeing to all our needs, providing advice on things to see and do, making us feel welcome in their home and providing a stellar breakfast, while spoiling my wife with flowers, knowing that it was her birthday. The location was a few minutes away from the center of Grafton, making it easy to travel into town when needed and the stay itself was in a peaceful and relaxing neighborhood.
The house is very spacious, warm and well maintained. The surrounding bushland is just beautiful, full of wildlife and colour. Everything we needed was provided, and Anne and Kevin were very welcoming hosts. We were all very comfortable in the beds provided, and the large bathroom including a bathtub was great for the kids with us. We would definitely stay again if we visit the Grafton area.
We found the place easily and check was good and sorted as we had postponed our trip by a week and they were happy to let us to that which we appreciated very much at no extra charge.
Was quite considering all the people staying.
We were looking to have a bite of tea and The Crown Hotel was recommended (thanks ) , it did not disappoint , delicious meal and beautiful setting .
Andavine House is literally a home away from home. Ann and Dave have thought of everything to make your stay very
welcoming and comfortable. From a massively restful bed, spotless bathroom, yummy breakfast, vast veranda,
off street parking, great Wifi, privacy….the list goes on and on…
if you’re in the greater Grafton area do yourself a favour and stay at Andavine 10/10.
The room was small but charming, a little bit different to the standard brick Aussie motel with a plate glass window looking out over the river. We were there overnight while on a bike trip, and and it was the perfect comfy spot to kick off the boots and relax with a beer overlooking the river.
I went Grafton the fist time with my parents. Deb was so nice to welcome for us. She answers all my questions nicely and she provide me nice fresh eggs from her healthy chickens. Hotel is very near from shopping center and very convenient to go market square for Jacaranda festival.
Staff are friendly and sevice was awesome. The motel is extremely clean, well maintained and comfortable and would highly recommend a stay. Its within walking distance to town and I have stayed 2 times, both times for 2 nights and will stay there anytime I visit Grafton.
Very clean, well located motel with friendly staff and excellent value. Comfy big bed and good air con. It had everything we needed. The Australia Hotel (1895 ! ) is a 5 min walk away and has excellent, good value meals .
The room was very clean, well equipped and the bathroom has been updated. It is called the Hi-Way motel for a reason - there was some heavy traffic noise until nightfall, but after dark it seemed to quieten down.
Just south of Grafton but still in a good location. Decent sized room with all the necessary facilities. New taps and shower head which were great. They made an effort to make the room look nice. Very comfortable.
