The hotel was in a great location, we stayed on a Saturday night, and I will admit I was afraid that it was going to be noisy, but it was not at all our room was so quiet. Easy walk to local beach and for breakfast the main street has a few cafes to choose from. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

I love Ettalong Beach - it’s perfect for all ages, very easy to access from Sydney via road or rail or ferry from Palm Beach. The surf beach at Umina only minutes away for those wanting an ocean beach. Great facilities for all age groups. P

The resort is part of a very unusual cinema complex - sort of southern European with balconies and courtyard and frescoes. Hotel rooms are all fantastic and organised within a rabbit warren of corridors. The ground floor houses shops and restaurants which, very sadly, die during the week. There is a small pool tucked away on the roof. Bed amazing. Kitchen fully functional so we cooked for ourselves Nice coffee nearby. Very easy to get Suns. Lovely beach and ferry nearby.

Ettalong beach is a wonderful place to visit.
Ettalong beach is a wonderful place to visit. You can wander along the beach front or through the streets to Ettalong markets, catch the ferry to Wagstaff or Palm Beach whichever takes your fancy. You can grab fresh seafood from the little street stall at the Ettalong Hotel. However, I cannot recommend food at the Ettalong Hotel as I think it's very, very average I had a Ploughman's Platter without cheese is not a ploughman's, Fish Tacos were bland and uninspiring, and a Rump Steak which was cold and all meals took so long to arrive, none of this experience was memorable!! Sorry.

The place turned out to be a surprise.
The place turned out to be a surprise. There are lot of food options within the building where the resort is. There is a small fresh fruit and veggies market as well on weekend. Beach is only 200 metres away. There are lot of good coffee shops in and around the resort building. It is a good place to hang around for 2 to 3 nights or longer.

Thanks for accommodating so last minute. The beach is a short, level walk to the beach. Retro style - tastefully executed, amazing. Workdesk was perfect. Everything labelled made it easy to navigate. Cleanest place ever. Xx

We only live 40 minutes away but love to just spend the night here every so often to enjoy the hotel, restaurants, pool and Ettalong beach. The location is beautiful and the resort makes you feel like your walking through a little village in Italy. If you are lucky enough to be greeting by Peter at the front desk. He is so helpful. And even organised ice for us as he saw we had a bottle of champagne. 10/10. Can’t wait to return

We walked to both with the kids - albeit with one in the pram and the other riding the skateboard attached to the pram.
