As a family we were in Dubbo for the attractions. We purchased a Big Pass, which got us into the Zoo for 2 days, RFDS Experience, Old Dubbo Gaol and Wellington Caves. It was good value for money and all of the experiences were excellent to do as a family. We particularly loved the zoo and caves (even booking a second tour at the caves to see the Gaden one as well as Cathedral). We ate at Royal Indian on our first night, which was excellent dining and reasonably priced. During our stay we also ate at Burger Urge and a mexican restaurant - both of which were good but a bit more 'takeoutish'. The main street had plenty of shopping experiences for the kids, with our daughter loving the local games D&D store. We also were there over New Years, and attended the fireworks on the oval for a small $2 per person charge - very reasonable. This was good family fun with plenty of food van options. Our kids really enjoyed the Dubbo Pool and water slides (extra cost and a bit pricey for a family at $10 pp for 30 minutes) and went there on a few days to enjoy the splashpark and cool off in the pool. Altogether we had a really lovely family experience and would recommend it for a 1 week visit for any family.

Dubbo is a hub for public transport and the trains and coaches connect well.
Taronga Zoo is excellent, and staying overnight is a treat as there are extra tours only available for those who stay. The art gallery and museum are excellent and the main garden is gorgeous.
The Exhibition/Theatre complex program has a great lineup for 2024 - I marked what I was going to book for until I remembered that I didn't live in Dubbo!

Plenty of things to discover, surrounding towns provided great day trips.
Tourist attractions were fantastic, but even discovering the local pubs, shops and eateries were great!
The Shire Bar and Grill and Pizza Monster are musts to revisit on our next trip.

The town centre was pretty and lots of shopping and food options. The river is beautiful and the walking track along it was delightful. Really enjoyed the Old Gaol and Westernplain Zoo was fantastic (would recommend the Safari tour). Stayed in the local caravan park and the downside to this was that our cabin was right on the highway which meant intrusive traffic noise (bring your earplugs!). The upside was it was economical and the staff and facilities was excellent - even spotted a Superb Fairy Wren which was wonderful. There was also a great hamburger joint nearby which had lots of options. Overall a nice place to visit.

We liked Dubbo - nice place, with friendly people.
We liked Dubbo - nice place, with friendly people. We were surprised by how big it was and the large range of shops, including Coles and Woolies. Plenty of restaurants and places to have a drink. We were only there a couple of days to go to the zoo - but we'd certainly go to Dubbo again.
Location was great, only a short drive from the zoo. It was good value for money. 3 separate bedrooms which was great. Fresh towels next day, cleaners do a great job. Tea and coffee provided, appliances were super helpful, full size fridge, kettle, microwave etc. Reception staff were nice and let me park my trailer on-site in the managers spot. Beds were quite comfy. TV had Netflix on it, super handy for the kids at night time. If I went back to Dubbo I’d use this place again👍🏻
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and beds comfortable. Our room was quiet. No main road traffic noise was heard to disturb sleep.
Having the restaurant on site was a bonus for dinner and breakfast. A gold star to Ebony for her smiling service at the restaurant. Ebony was there at both breakfast and dinner sessions.
I thought the two bedroom apartment was good value.
Location was perfect as less than a 10 minute drive to Dubbo Zoo.
Great location easy to get to other locations if needed, area was quite and not much of a travel between shops and taronga Plains zoo dubbo, staff where kind and friendly and are happy to give their time too guests and answer any questions if needed answers to or for house keeping where understanding if had any issues about room or need of something for the staying guests.
The location is great as we planned for the Dubbo zoo. It is newly renovated, so all are new and mostly in good conditions. For the price that they charge - 5 stars.
We stayed 2 nights and the room was tidy up after the first night. Honestly didn’t expect that at this price point! Well done!!
Have Netflix and Stan as well!
We loved the splash park and pools, Our cabin was close by and was safe to walk too the play area.
The staff were all amazing, always had a smile on there face and always said hello. The reception ladies were so understanding and helpful. The location in Dubbo was ideal. Not far from the zoo.
It was a family room, with facilities and supplies for 4 people. It had a mini kitchen (which I didn't need), toaster, microwave, cutlery and crockery, iron and ironing board,. Parking was right at the door, and the room was on the ground floor as requested. The bed was quite comfortable.
Very clean and enormous room with huge bathroom with a massive spa - very clean. Bed was comfortable and had kitchenette for tea and coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend - across the road from Club Dubbo so easy walk to dinner and a few km to zoo/town centre.
It is an older style motel but very comfortable, well-maintained and reasonably priced. It is centrally located but we did not experience any difficulties with noise either in the complex or from the street outside. If I travel to Dubbo again I will happily stay here.
The unit we had was very spacious , Beds were very Comfortable and had a great kitchen to use , Lounge chairs were good & location to the Hotel & Club for meals and a Beer . Also Short drive to the Zoo was also good
Staff were excellent, Rooms very clean and well appointed .Location was great, very handy for visiting the zoo and close to amenities in town icluding Dubbo RSL and Dubbo Memorial Theatre (within Walking distance)
Very clean the cabin was perfect for my little family and pet friendly was lovely seeing the dogs going for walks through the park with their humans next time I’ll look at bringing my dogs
