There had been a bit of a booking double-up, but the host had it all sorted out before we arrived there, and had arranged for us to stay in a near-by property, so no stress or issue for us at all. So whilst I cannot write a review for the original accommodation at tranquil point itself, the alternate he arranged for us was really nice, and definitely met our needs/expectations. The host at tranquil point was friendly and helpful, as were those at the alternate property. A great experience all around, and would stay again.

Breakfast marvellous, home made raisin bread the best, beautiful fresh fruit and cereals.
Was given muffins to take with us each day for M/T. Great hosts. Nothing was a problem for them. Just what we needed a great break away.

Our family room was spacious, clean, and just what we needed for a one-night stay. The hotel was located nearby to other shops and was within walking distance to a playground and a Platypus Walk, which was great for letting the kids burn off some energy before our next destination.

I didn’t spend a time in Cygnet as I was visiting a friend, but driving through I observed some lovely shops, a twice monthly Sunday market was well patronised, and I visited Ian Clare’s pottery studio across the road from the beautiful bay. I plan to return, so I’m looking forward to checking out the other shops and local sights.

Cygnet is a lovely town in a beautiful part of the world. Make sure you enjoy the amazing pizza on Friday nights at the Port Cygnet Cannery venue.... amazingly good, or the live music on Sunday afternoon.

Travelling around in winter we found a lot of restaurants, cafes closed at 4 or closed for a month or so, Cygnet had a nice feel to it, had a few interesting shops and supermarket, it’s a great spot to explore the south from, with some beautiful historical buildings, loads of wineries, cider and cheese tasting, some seasonal

I love this town, I spent a few hours shopping and chatting to locals, great breakfast at the pub and a couple of wonderful meals, one curry in particular. There's a fabulous bakery. Many places to drive too and visit with incredible scenery. It's my third visit with many more to come hopefully.

For a hamlet just 55km from Hobart.
For a hamlet just 55km from Hobart. Cygnet ticks all the boxes. Friendly people. Great cafes. Nice country pubs. Galleries and gift shops. Lovely walks around the inlet. Easy day trip distance to Bruny Island. Great birdwatching. Great craft teachers . We went for a spooncarving workshop. Great Facebook group Great community.
Perfect, well equipped comfortable apartment overlooking the beautiful Bay. This is an exceptional B&B. Bea provided a warm welcome with afternoon tea, loads of extra touches like in the well stocked kitchen. Loose leaf tea, porridge, homemade jam and even marshmallows and hot chocolate. Everything has been thought of to make this a lovely stay. Only a few mins drive into Cygnet, very quiet and beautiful gardens. Perfect for a few days away. Thank you!
Absolutely lovely. Ben and Sassy couldn't have been more welcoming. Clean room in a sweet homestead by the water, with a good kitchen and a cosy fire in the lounge for those cool tassie nights. Look out for the fairy wrens flitting about in the morning on the lawn. Cygnet has good facilities and fuel and is just a few Ks away. Ben runs a bikram studio on site if that's of interest to you, and there's a fire pit by the water for the evening.
Welcomed by Ben the owner this home is situated in the most beautiful setting, on the river overlooking mountains just outside of Cygnet.
We loved the sunset over the water, the fireplace and the peaceful night’s sleep.
This property is a large house with common kitchen dining and lounge room.
We stayed in the oak room downstairs that has an ensuite. On our night there we were the only occupants and loved the open fire and Ben’s generosity.
Stunning location only a short drive from Cygnet, Beate was an amazing host and made us feel very at home. The property itself is decorated beautifully and has everything you could need. The jacuzzi bath was a real treat!
Self contained separate cottage with all of the needed amenities. Secluded scenic location, but close enough to the town of Cygnet. Hosts are friendly and helpful but in no way intrusive. Overall a pleasant experience.
The wombats in the room were supurb! My daughter was enchanted. Ive never before come across such thoughtful themed decor. Ample breakfast. The unit was large and comfortable. Cygnet is a beautiful town.
Beautiful tranquil location with a gorgeous cottage with everything you need. The wildlife was amazing and the extra goodies supplied by David was a lovely touch.
