On beautiful days it’s great for swimming and icecream. Lots of walking for those interested in that too. Often no need for a car but I used my escooter to get about the best, lots of people on bikes too. The Bay restaurant was a lovely atmosphere and seating.

Gateway to the Freycinet.
Gateway to the Freycinet. Coles Bay is a great base for exploring the national Park. Richardson’s Beach is one of Australia’s hidden treasures. Local cafes are excellent, and it’s a short drive to local wineries and Bicheno’s irresistible Lobster Shack.

Location, food and people - we could have stayed longer and explored more - the oysters and wine tasting at Devil's Corner were incredible. The restaurant in the lodge was fabulous for drinks and for food - staff were fantastic, friendly and professional.

Coles Bay is the perfect place to stay to explore the Freycinet National Park. There are walks for most abilities, but it helps to have some fitness as there is a lot of steps and climbing. Wineglass Bay and Wineglass Beach are an absolute highlight. Coles Bay is a sleepy town in May so we were able to enjoy it without hustle & bustle of summer crowds.
We really enjoyed our stay at Freycinet Hideaway for 3 nights. The kitchen was really well equipped and stocked with plenty of plates and bowls and and cutlery. We used it to cook a few meals and it worked wonderfully well.
There were 2 comfortable leather lounges in the living room which we enjoyed sitting on. Spacious parking spot at bottom of driveway.
Central location to get to Freycinet National Park, wonderful walks to Wineglass Bay and beach etc.
Everything we required and more was provided. Kitchen was well stocked with more applicances than we have had at other rentals. The Library and games provided in the toilet area was an interesting extra.
Fantasic view from the balcony with the option of using a barbeque or pizza oven to cook our own meals.
Equipment and products for cleaning were made available if they were needed.
Location and outlook to Coles Bay and National Park; accommo facilities were very good including washing machine & drier which was welcome given we had been travelling for 5 days and doing day hikes. The next street over and very easy walking distance were 2 cafe/restaurants plus extremely varied and well stocked Convenience Store.
Beautifully appointed 2 bedroom home. Bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious, modern and clean. Excellent kitchen and laundry facilities. Comfortable lounge room with a view to die for. Walking distance to General Store. Close to everything we wanted to see in Freycinet National Park. Absolutely lovely - highly recommended!
The studio is conveniently located and it is very easy to drive to Coles Bay for food or visit the Freycinet National Park.
The studio had a fully stocked kitchen which is perfect for making dinner. The studio is very spacious and there are lots of sunshine which makes the place very pleasant :)
The apartment itself was just as expected, clean, cosy and comfortable with good cooking facilities and great TV/wifi etc. Really good access to the national park and close to Coles bay including the shops for groceries.
Lovely quiet cabin to stay in during our time at the beautiful Freycinet! Comfy beds and well equipped kitchenette. Ros and family were friendly and gave us recommendations for the local area.
The outside of the building was not whoat we expected although the inside was WOW. This accommodation realy captured the beauty of Coles Bay. Its location was exceptional.
