The Caloundra area is really nice. Many hotels to pick from.
The Caloundra area is really nice. Many hotels to pick from. Depending on what you're looking for.. i.e., Kings Beach is a happening area. Golden Beach is a little quieter. Places to visit are The Real Grocer, Cali Breeze for awesome burgers and fish and chips, and Amici's pizza (make reservations early when you know you want to go). The Amici Special pizza is the bomb! The RSL Club is nice to visit... loved the tribute to the military.

Caloundra has always been a favourite holiday destination for me. Not far to anything! Depending on where you stay, you can park on arrival and never need to drive until end of stay! Beaches are the best.

Caloundra has all the things tourists look for - bars, restaurants, markets, beaches and short distance to a wondrously green hinterland with all of its attractions as well. The city itself is clean and has great facilities. I even joined the local RSL as I will be back again and the member discounts are great, even for short stays. Everything you need in the city can be within walking distance, depending on your accommodation. I like to park the car and walk everywhere where possible.

Several great hotels and loads of cafes/restaurants.
Several great hotels and loads of cafes/restaurants. Central Caloundra has an excellent variety of shops in the Main Street with a market every Sunday. Love the boardwalk to King’s beach. Down the road is the much loved dog off-leash beach at Moffat.

Caloundra is a great place to stay.
Caloundra is a great place to stay. Great beaches, a terrific salt water pool at Kings Beach, a multitude of cafes, restaurants and ice cream bars. A choice of Surf Clubs for dining with a view!
Facilities for children are excellent.
I liked the access to the pool and Chill89 cafe. We stayed on level 2 and it was a lovely view from our room to the waterfront across the road, the pool and the gardens. The gardens were kept very nicely which I loved. I loved the different pool options. The toddler pool was great for my little boy and the bigger pool was great for my older child. The warm spa was great for parents. Location to the beach was great for a quick walk and play on the beach in the late afternoon to watch the sunset.
After battling the Bruce Highway it was a breath of fresh air to not only find the place, but we found the lockbox, car park and were in the apartment in no time. The views were just like the pictures, and the apartment was clean and very spacious. Heaps of dining options within walking distance - we used the Caloundra Hotel on night 1 and had a great meal. We met the hosts the next morning and they were friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff. Having an on site restaurant is handy, but not cheap. I was in the smallest available room, on the top floor (three storeys). Being on the top, and at the opposite end to the water park, was excellent - no noise at all at night and I slept well both nights. I liked having a window that actually opens (unlike many hotels) to get some fresh air.
The property was centrally located with short stroll to kings beach, Caloundra Main Street via beach board walk and restaurants.
The kitchen was so well stocked with all our needs I had to take a photo!
Beds comfortable showers were great. Spa bath just wonderful.
Lounge comfortable, plenty of games and jigsaw puzzles for any rainy day.
Very nice manager.
Location is unbelievable. Right on the beach and close to the flags. The pool was another favourite for us - super clean and lots of space. Beds were very comfortable. Apartments well set up for a beach holiday with good aircon. Family also liked our apartment having private rooftop access with a bbq.
Perfectly located at Kings beach. Walk across the pedestrian footpath and you are on the beach.
Heated pool and well kept fully equipped apartment.
Large screen TV with plenty of entertainment options including popular subscription services like Netflix.
All apartmenta have beautiful ocean views.
The motel is around the corner from the esplenade so handy to the beach. There were a number of restaurants also handy although we only tried the Indian on Sunday night and the food was delicious. The Caloundra market was on and was only a short walk away.
Rumba is a great place to stay in Caloundra. We stayed here a few years ago, and the hotel and rooms were as clean and up-to-date as back then. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great location. Lovely clean pools. Very helpful staff.
The location was ideal for our purpose, which was to attend an event at the nearby Events Centre in Caloundra. This was within easy walking distance. The room was very clean and suited our needs for an overnight stay.
Loved the microwave, fridge and toaster. I felt like I was at home with these facilities. The parking was secure;
Loved the shopping centre nearby. The staff were obliging answering all our questions.
Location for our hotel was convenient and centrally located to access other areas of Caloundra. The rooms were spacious for 1-2 people and met every need for an overnight stay.
Convenient location, great renovated modern unit close to Kings Beach and Caloundra. Clear instructions on how to enter the property in lieu of reception which was great.
A little oasis tucked away in the 'burbs' yet so close to Caloundra centre. It's nice to be removed from all the central tourism and general busy-ness :)
