At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laidback Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s arty South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just opposite is the towering skyline of Brisbane's CBD, where many hotels in Brisbane city centre are located.
Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. More shopping centres are found all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.
This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south you can hug one of the loveable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.
Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks – Wickham Park – contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the north-east, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.
As well as central accommodation, Booking.com also offers hotels near Brisbane Airport in a north-eastern coastal suburb.

Brisbane is a fun city with very cool architecture.
Brisbane is a fun city with very cool architecture. The ferry system is charming and iconic like San Francisco's cable cars, but actually more *useful* as they are never too crowded to hop on. Climbing the bridge or holding koalas will give experiences that few cities can offer.

Brisbane often seen as a poor third to Sydney and Melbourne...
Brisbane often seen as a poor third to Sydney and Melbourne but this is far from the truth.
The city is spacious and is being rapidly but tastefully developed.
There is so much to see and great places to eat and drink.
A final huge strength is that it is only an hour or so from the Gold Coast, whether you hectic pace of Surfers Paradise or the much gentler pace of the many beaches to the south towards Coolangatta.

We were expecting to be closer to the Beaches.
We were expecting to be closer to the Beaches. The river which everything is based off is dirty and not attractive. City is nice just like Sydney City. But the houses in most of the suburbs are not nice.
I personally did not like Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast and was expecting more. Wouldn't live there but a nice holiday place.

Love being able to drive into the hilly mountain areas surrounding ie Glass Mountains, Mt Cootha, Botanical Gardens etc. Great places all along the Brisbane river to walk by and eat/drink at. Lots of touristy things to do.

What really stood out about the Brisbane CBD is how clean it...
What really stood out about the Brisbane CBD is how clean it is! They take really good care of their heritage buildings!
Beautiful old pubs, check out the Pig & Whistle still has the old beautiful bathrooms.
Southbank wow amazing!
Man made beach, amazing variety of places to eat.
Queen st shopping, has every store you need & didn’t know you need.
Don’t need to leave the CBD if after a short stay as plenty to see & do.
Free river ferry that loops the river & stops at key points.
The channel 7 wheel is also a fun experience & wel priced.
Free museum!
If you only staying a few days l wouldn’t bother with a hire car as city driving not the best experience.
Definitely worth a visit!
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel for such a cheap price! Staff were great to help accommodate with anything we needed. Very clean and tidy with comfy beds. Super close to the CBD (nice city walk or cheap uber ride) to where we needed to be. If I had to complain about anything it would be the challenging car park! Holy Moly! This was the craziest parking challenge to get through, So many poles! definitely ask your friends partner or anyone to help navigate in and out of the car park. :))
The pool area was fantastic. The location was great. 5 minute walk to free ferry. Quiet spot but close to city. Parking was also cheaper than cbd apartments. We had a one bedroom unit at the back of the complex that overlooked the pool. The apartment was spacious with a large balcony. We booked this apartment because of the affordable price compared to the city. It was a quick walk to the river to view the fireworks display.
The rooms are 4 star - newly renovated, modern, new aircon units, lovely bathrooms, comfy beds, useful kitchenette. We were met at reception by a very friendly smiling fellow. There is a free car park and the location is perfect for enjoying Victoria Park or driving into the CBD or Southbank. We have stayed in many more expensive CBD apartments (paying $40/day to park) but no more...this will be our 'go-to' now!
Great location near Brisbane city centre. If taking the AirTrain from the airport, the hotel is near both Roma Street and Central stations. Roma Street station is a bit closer and the walk is on more level ground, so I would recommend using Roma Street station.
Staff were very friendly, and complimentary hand sanitiser was a nice bonus given the present times.
Generous 1-2 bedroom sized apartments. Everything needed is there for you at convenience. Staff are so nice and helpful, from reception to cleaners in the morning who say hello and held the doors open for you. Location is so good for access around Brisbane and shopping/dining. Can stroll everywhere really, close to public transport if needed.
This accommodation is perfect if you want to walk the city of Brisbane. You have easy access to the river, the botanical garden, Southbank and the CBD. You can walk as far as you want, and use city cats to go even further. A comfortable if older hotel, but the staff are friendly and professional and the facilities are good.
Our stay at Vine Apartments was outstanding! Very impressed with the facilties, apartment size, kitchen setup, bathroom and comfort of the bed. The location was excellent- a short walk to Southbank or West End- lots of excellent food nearby. Britney has always been so helpful and our stay was great- thanks!
The Location is perfect for access to Southbank and major CBD areas. Easy walking distances make exploring a breeze. Hotel Staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful! Extreme Value for money! Free parking and easy access to the parking garage is 100 percent a plus for this location.
My room was very comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. The furnishings are nice, the bed was very comfortable. It was also very quiet despite clearly being a busy weekend at the hotel. Also an easy walk to Southbank and the CBD, as well as to Roma Street Station.
The staff were very helpful and the apartments were clean and well-appointed. The hotel's in a great location – it's a ten-minute walk from the Queensland Children's Hospital (where our son was being treated), South Bank train station, and shops.
Was a great location, close to activities on Southbank and ease of access to Brisbane CBD
Perfect Apartment for short or longer stay with great kitchen are and washing facilities.
Most places charge for parking so free parking was excellent.
We loved the location and our room looked across the park to Southbank which was unexpected. We walked everywhere.
We used Secure car park in Elizabeth Street but there is parking available a the hotel for the same cost $30.
We like nothing in this hotel. The space inside the apartments were good but rooms were full of dust. We have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights but they haven't even provided us at least toilet papers for the next two days.
Great location - easy walk to Southbank and Brisbane CBD. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Rooms always clean and comfortable. Restaurant staff Carlos & Jo extremely helpful and professional.
Very convenient location (walking distance to Roma St station, close to shopping mall, botanic garden, Southbank). Quiet for a CBD hotel. Reasonable price for facilities offered.
Nice large, clean apartment. .
Car park in apartment complex.
Close walk to Southbank and CBD and
shops and restaurants nearby.
Would certainly come back if in Brisbane.
The location was excellent for both the CBD and Southbank. The hotel room was spacious, clean and the walk-in shower was wonderful. The staff were lovely and helpful too.
The apartments have 24hr reception. We booked the studio apartment, it is small but comfortable with all you need for a couples weekend stay in Brisbane CBD.
