Bendigo is ok for rooms in the week but try to get one over a weekend.they are either unavailable or ridiculously priced, can even go double depending what is on in town which is why you are here.Beginning to price themselves out i may as well drive to melb and have heaps more options ,reasonable price, and public transport

Plenty of local attractions to see, with lots of period architecture. Foodies are very well catered for with abundant little restaurants all through the city centre and some amazing menu items. Two recommendations are the Golden Square Hotel (I ordered Thia Red Duck Curry, which was very nice. But when I saw the Chef's special for the night coming out - Porterhouse Steak and Pot/Glass of wine $28 - I wished I had ordered that instead. The other one is Sim'r in Hargreaves St, which has some amazing things on the menu and make in-house a range of amazing breads

Borchelli Italian restaurant is great, with excellent meals and desserts. Bendigo Art Gallery is worth a visit, with the current Paris: Impressions of Life exhibition. The Hat Shop is also fun, with a huge selection of hats. The Australian Eucalyptus Oil Company has a good selection of products for gifts, plus plenty of shops to suit all tastes.

Bendigo has an excellent Art Gallery and is worth visiting when a major art exhibition is being held. Paris Impressionists was worth the visit. Bendigo is a charming old style city with buildings and churches which have been preserved. Bunji Thai is an exceptional restaurant on Park Lane. It is an easy city to walk and leave the car behind.

    Staff were extremely friendly.

Staff were extremely friendly. Meals in Restaurant were lovely and I thought they were very reasonably priced. It is directly across the road from talking tram and Deborah Goldmine. Very good bakery close walking distance and a Coles Express beside it. A little bit far from centre of things. Also I would have liked room cleaned during our 5 night stay. But we were allowed to ask for fresh towels from reception, when we needed them. All in all we enjoyed our stay but would probably get a bigger family room if possible.

Bendigo may only be the fourth largest city in Victoria (...

Bendigo may only be the fourth largest city in Victoria (behind Geelong and Ballarat) but it punches way above its weight for charm, history, architecture, fine dining and just plain fun. There's always lots to see and do but whenever Bendigo puts on a special event - like the Agricultural Show, or the Easter Festival, it's always spectacular.

This cottage is an absolute gem. It is a beautifully renovated property and was a delight to stay in. Everything that you needed had been provided by the owner. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very quiet. The outside deck area was the perfect place for breakfast. Having Percy and Percy cafe across the road was fabulous and the Lake View Hotel around the corner on the main road was a bonus and we can also recommend the local pizza parlour. Walking into Bendigo CBD was a very easy walk.

Beautiful estate to stay at in bendigo. Trip was cut short due to covid but had a fantastic night there. Exceptional hosts with a warm, relaxing and luxurious stay. This place is a must stay if you’re visiting the area. Nothing like conventional hotels, has the vibe of a high end European luxury hotel. Beautiful rooms within the estate to sit around and enjoy the provided port while reading, relaxing and playing the piano. Everything from the linen to breakfast to toiletries is high end. Will be back!!

Came for the Elvis exhibition (must see by the way) and had booked a king room at the Oval Motel not expecting to be staying in THE King Room. The level of commitment to theming the room was next level and an unexpected but lovely surprise. Staff were wonderful, you can SMS for beers which is genius and it was literally 5 minutes to the exhibition and then a short walk further into town to explore all the amazing food and sights that Bendigo has to offer.

Beautiful hotel with charm, comfort and nostalgia. The decor highlighted the glamour of the history of Bendigo. The staircase to the led light windows were beautiful. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Big windows allowed natural light in and the ceilings were high with air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Bed was comfortable with crisp white sheets and the bathroom was clean.

We stay in a lot of Motels around Australia & this motel would have to be the most comfortable place my family has stayed at. So much room in the apartment and very tidy, and beds where so comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and the large kitchen had everything you needed. Hotel next door has great meals and close to a lot of take away meals and the main street of Bendigo.

Very clean and quiet. Well appointed. Easy check in and out. All of the usual take-aways (Maccas, Hungry Jacks, KFC, Red Rooster) plus a few ethnic cafes in walking range. Hotel across the road has a good pub food menu and will deliver free. Easy walk to Cathedral, a bit further to Arts Precinct. Would certainly stay there again if visiting Bendigo

Noise wasn't as bad as expected, very peaceful sleep considering the number of events going on within the hotel . Will definitely stay with Crown Motel Bendigo again

the property is gorgeous and the proprietors have an outstanding commitment to showcasing the history of Bendigo and the role this magnificent building played in that history. The hotel shows an incredible commitment to contemporary Australian art and artists which is so refreshing. This is a wonderful experience that should not be missed

We appreciated the double-glazed window because it was the front room on a main road. We didn't hear any noise, and sleep quality was great. It was freezing weather in Bendigo, but the room heating was great. The room was cosy, didn't need overnight heating or the electric blanket, but we were warm in bed.

The location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to be and the show we went to see was over the road. The room was ideal for a one night stay, had all that we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The main shopping centre in Bendigo was a five minutes walk, perfect.
