Beechworth is a lovely village. Visit Indigo Winery (just outside Beechworth) for a brilliant wine tasting and a delicious lunch of local produce and it's dog friendly. A trip to Yackandandah is a must. It's an even prettier village than Beechworth. Great selection of shops, including a custom hat maker. Dinner at the Empire Hotel in Beechworth was fabulous. A trip to Beechworth wouldn't be complete without a visit to Bridge Road Brewers (dog friendly courtyard), pizzas are yum.

Beechworth is a lovely historic town that is clean and maintained well. The wide roads and main town plan is well layed out. Loads of history, variety of shops, great local gourmet food and produce/wineries and great jewellery shops! The big trees that line the streets offset the old historical buildings. Locals who have that good old fashion welcome. This region is a little Gem- in all seasons!

Beechworth is a very beautiful historic gold mining town, with lots of historical information and places of interest. You could spend at least a week exploring Beechworth and the surrounding towns which also have interesting history. The landscape is beautiful, with rolling hills, flowing creeks and magnificent Australian flora. There are many cafes to get good coffee and delicious food as well as a number of boutiques where you can get quality clothing. Beechworth is a great place for walking.

Beechworth has so much history.
Beechworth has so much history. To walk around and see it preserved is amazing. Shopping isn't bad but like any regional town expensive. Food: Beechworth bakery especially the Bee Sting; Little Nev for coffee; Miss Amelie Gourmet for pies; the Ageing Frog for fish and chips and Beechworth Sweet Co for amazing fudge. We are already planning our next visit. Two nights felt too short.

Beechworth is an historic gold town with connections to the Kelly Gang. It is quintessential Ozzie bush but is also a high quality wine region. The town has a strong foodie culture with many good eateries including pubs, cafes breweries (like Billson's). The area is very hot in summer but has some of the best cherries and other stone fruits in season. At other times of the year it has fruits such as apples and nuts such as walnuts, which go superbly with the local honey (the Beechworth Honey shop is a must). Beechworth is one of our favourite places in Victoria (did I mention the best toy store too)?
We stayed for 3 nights in Beechworth Cedar Cottages. Set in beautiful gardens our 2 bedroom cottage (named Ingram) had been very well maintained and was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was provided and the facilities generally in the cottage were excellent. I cannot recommend Beechworth Cedar Cottages more highly than to say that we found our cottage to be, without doubt, the best we have stayed in during many trips through the rural areas of Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
A very light + airy room that opened out onto a balcony with a great view looking out over a paddock towards the Gorge.
The room was very large + you were able to open the balcony door to take advantage of all that fresh air.
Located next to a walking/bike track made for a quick trip to the unique craft + delicious food shops for which Beechworth is famous... + that included breakfast at the Beechworth Bakery.
The staff were super nice + friendly + helpful + informative.
The Drummond Cottage was fabulous. It had everything we wanted and is very spacious and attractive, with access to the lovely yard/ BBQ/ outdoor seating and close to the Rail Trail for long walks in nature. The huge spa bath was fun. The town is beautiful with lots of historic buildings and great shopping (food, homewares, knik-knacks and clothes) and excellent pubs for drinks and good meals. It is a relaxing, romantic place to stay. We will go back.
It was our second stay at Beechworth House in 7 months. The property and the hosts are excellent. The country garden atmosphere is very relaxing. The full breakfast is delightful. We enjoy exploring the Beechworth area and Beechworth House is a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed our time there, especially with our Cocker Spaniel Hugo.
Quait older style cottages on the edge of town. Staff are excellent and easy to deal with. Main bed is in the living area but still enough room to move around. Comfortable accomadation, second room and bathroom a little small but manageable.
Electric blankets, heating ect are good and breakfast included a bonus.
The location was very convenient to explore Beechworth and surrounds. The room, while sparse and very tired was spacious and the king size beds were large and comfortable. Even though the rooms and hotel itself is very tired and starting to get a little bit dilapidated, the room itself was very clean.
I loved this beautifully presented boutique hotel. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and very conveniently located - just a short walk into the town. All the little extra touches were very much appreciated, and I left wishing I was staying longer.
Older motel with huge rooms high ceilings and ceiling fans. The fan and air con were very welcome on a hot summers night. The location just a block from the centre of Beechworth was perfect. Our bed was very comfortable.
The boutique hotel from old stables revamped in luxury spa suites was exceptionally comfortable. The room felt homely and warm, and made a welcoming environment especially for us when returning from the snow.
We've stayed a few times in Beechworth, and this time we wanted to be in town, so location was important... We were only staying for one night and the room was ample for our needs and was spotlessly clean.
Very comfortable room that was well appointed and nice to find provisions in the fridge which was not expected.
Well located in easy walking distance of everything Beechworth has to offer.
Breakfast was excellent, hosts very friendly and knew the area very well. Excellent central location. Meticulously clean large rooms, spotless bathrooms with huge shower.
