Beautiful heritage real estate, a lovely Central Park and Mount panorama. Shopping opportunities are limited as are eateries after 5 pm. Easy to walk around and park - lovely wide streets built for horse and carriages. A lovely regional art gallery and Doppio Bathurst is a great spot to grab a coffee on route from the train station to town. Al Denté is a great cafe in town for wholesome options for breakfast and lunch - opens very early and you can read the local rag.

I was at Bathurst for work.
I was at Bathurst for work. The view I had from my hotel room was the famous Bathurst racing track. which was lovely to look out on too.
I didn't get much time to explore and would like to visit again so I can take in more of the charming old town. People were very friendly, and everything was pretty close by, I ate at the George Pub as the food was so lovely, and The Ridges wasn't serving dinner on the Sunday and Monday nights I was staying.
I would definitely recommend a visit to Bathurst, and I will also visit again and hopefully will get to stay longer.

Have passed through Bathurst many times and this was the first time we stayed.
Has awesome parks and walking tracks. Felt very safe walking around town late on a Friday night. Lots of old buildings with excellent descriptions of their history.
Ice-cream shop was packed and doing a roaring trade. Yummo.
Found a coffee shop open at 6am on a Saturday morning and coffee was sensational.
Driving the track is always a highlight as well.
Next time will be staying several days.

Lots to see and do. Just being there was nice.
Lots to see and do. Just being there was nice. The Motor Museum, the race track obviously but just the lovely streets and beautiful old buildings. Abercrombie house was a highlight too.
The only thing was the huge central park was closed due to the 'possibility' of falling branches from bats. It was over kill. Nanny state philosophy. Very disappointing by local council.
Otherwise would have loved to stay longer than 3 days.

A beautiful town with flat landscape which enables easy walking around. I only stayed there one night, but loved what I saw, and I intend to go back :) On our way home to the apartments that we stayed, we called into the local Whisky bar for a nightcap before bed, and then the next morning one of the local hotels had the BEST BREAKFAST EVER!
We could have stayed at the Hawks Nest forever! This is a beautiful B&B just outside Bathurst run by a lovely woman who was so friendly, welcoming and personable, I think its the first time we have ever hugged a hotel/B&B owner when we left. It was a large family home with all the family home features and atmosphere, immaculately clean and equipped also with a beautiful garden. We don't sleep well travelling but we did here and waking up to a wonderful breakfast as well. We will be writing to Elaine to see if she will adopt us.
Close proximity to what I travelled to Bathurst for. I came over to get a photo of the steam engine at the railway station as it's class has significance to my late father. Meals at the hotel, great and the staff on duty very pleasant and made one feel welcome
Location out of Bathurst, but close to pubs, and town centre. Room was comfortable could view countryside out on the porch. Room was spacious and roomy. Large shower and bathroom. Staff were welcoming, and helpful in ensuring we had a comfortable stay were polite and had the time to talk with you. Continental breakfast was included.
The Inn was extremely clean & cosy colourful, good size & well equipped will all the essentials you need to have a comfortable & relaxing stay.
Both the cleaning & admin staff were very friendly & welcoming & couldn’t do enough for you, to help out with added extras.
I highly recommend this hotel in Bathurst.
The Hotel.was good value for money. The room.was basic and the breakfast was nice.
I was only there for one night and it lived up to expectations.
The staff were friendly. I ate dinner in the hotel fish and chips. A good sized serving
Maybe they could offer some live entertainment music etc
Walking distance to the heart of Bathurst shops and right near The Oxford Pub which was great for casual dinners. We had everything we needed in our room, clean linen and beds were top quality! Great all round experience, we will stay again for the price and convenience!
I went to a show in Bathurst and the show finished late. I got back to the pub at closing. The bar staff let me have a beer, which was really nice and accomodating. Thanks for the stay and the chips! Will be staying again.
Great location, friendly staff, spacious room, airconditioned

The best thing about the place is the location. It is quite close to several main streets in Bathurst, cafes and shops. Another reason I picked this cottage is its pet-friendly.
Great communication from the owner. House was lovely and warm and was the perfect place to stay in Bathurst. This is our second stay at this location and we'll be back again.
Excellent location, accommodating staff and clean and tidy rooms.
This hotel went above and beyond, I would be more than pleased to stay here again or recommend others to.
Great value for money and a top spot. Best hotel in Bathurst. I have sons at Stannies and have been coming here for years and will continue to do so for years to come.
