First we visited the Town's Information center, Staff were excellent and provided all information we needed for our 3 day tour, Places we visited , West and East Macdonald ranges, Anzac Hill / Tower, There are lots of Gauges and natural landscapes are breathtaking,
There are places you can eat, and buy things that you need ,
but make sure to carry sufficient liquor as only 3 days that bottle shops are opened, and limited hours,

It was a nice town that has been effected by covid - not as bustling as it used to be with most shops on Todd Mall closed down but there are efforts underway to revitalise which will be great - fantastic to see all the local art

LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED.
LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED. JUST AVOID THE WHINGERS RUNNING HOTELS AND ANYONE NOT BORN IN AUSTRALIA. THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO SCARE AND PUT FEAR INTO VISITORS FOR NO GOOD REASON AND DO NOT EMPLOY ANY AUSTRALIANS.

Visit the Museums and Araleun Cultural Precinct, very friendly informative staff. Sacred women's site is located at the back of the Araleun Centre, and a 300 year old corkwood tree stands in the sculpture garden. Beautiful, affordable, hand crafted items at the Cultural Centre run by volunteers; clothing, hats, cards, ceramics, jewelry, and pottery. The Mega Fauna Centre is excellent. Amazing art can be purchased from galleries and artists on the street. Support local artists directly if you can. Many coffee shops, bars selling good quality coffee and food. Would recommend House of Tallulah and Epilogue..delightful staff and good food/coffee...and alcohol after 3 pm at the latter. Must call in to sample local beer and pizza at The Alice Springs Brewing Company..excellent! Olive Pink Botanical Gardens is a comfortable walk from CBD with a return walk along the Todd River. Stay a couple of days.

The Mega Fauna Centre is a ‘must see’, for adults and children. The Araluen Centre we will see on our return next week. Excellent coffee and food and delightful staff at House of Talula’s. Epilogue Lounge has great coffee, gorgeous staff and delicious Buddy Bowl! Lone Dingo is perfect place to get last minute camping needs. Thrifty car hire centrally located in CBD and also at the airport. Be respectful of the local indigenous people, remember we are on their land and we should feel privileged to experience it in such luxury
This is a pleasant hotel close to the town centre. There's a lot to like- nice surrounds and trees,, good car parking, nice pool, restaurant onsite with outside seating aswell. I had a lovely meal and breakfast there. Staff were lovely and helpful. An average room, the bathroom was great-updated, good shower pressure. The room was quiet too, I couldn't hear tv's or voices from other rooms. The place has everything you need for a stay in Alice Springs.
On arriving I was a bit curious as to what our stay would be like but this place is amazing. The breakfast that was included was just beyond amazing. The choices were just exceptions and the hosts were there to clean up after you. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Its not far out of the town centre but far enough no to put up with the negatives of Alice Springs. Would go to Alice Springs just to stay here again.
The rooms have all you need and the hotel is very safe and secure, including the underground parking. The front receptionist was so friendly and helpful on everything l needed to know. Lots of shopping all in walking distance and there is a wonderful little Italian Restaurant attached to the back of the hotel. l recommend them. And l definitely recommend the Aurora Hotel for a very comfy stay. l stayed for 9 days.
We felt safe and secure , the Studio room, although very small, was quiet and comfortable. Free parking was a bonus too. Alice Springs is a very picturesque town with lots to do, places to dine out. We enjoyed The Juicy Rump Restaurant and Bar at Lasseters Casino. Uncles Tavern in the city centre. Be sure to visit Stanley Chasm, easy grade walk to view the rock formations
Good value | good communication | dorm rooms have air-con, cool, not cold (18c), able to sleep comfortably | WiFi is best from kitchen area, might drop further away in dorm rooms | well-stocked, functional kitchen | gated parking | nice break from Uluru heat | other guests were pleasant | grateful for hostel in Alice Springs | stayed three nights, two reservations |
The pool is nice - shaded and sunny areas. Felt very safe on hotel/casino grounds. Alice Springs downtown area does not feel safe.
Stick with the chicken schnitzel for dinner and you won't be disappointed.
We went to the Kangaroo Sanctuary and Uluru. Both tour companies picked us up at hotel.
The hotel was conveniently located near the mall, cafes, restaurants and shops. After a day out sightseeing in Alice Springs and exploring the East and West McDonald ranges, the pool was great to cool off in and the BBQ area was handy to prepare and cook meals.
Our room was large, comfortable and clean. It was located in a very central location so we could walk around Alice Springs knowing the car was safely in the hotel carpark. Uncle’s Tavern was full of life and a great place to meet some local people.
I liked the “home setting” in Alice Springs. I LOVED the owners, Kathy and Carl. The swimming pool and the beautiful lawn and the fresh eggs from the pet chickens just added to the fun of “Kathy’s Place.”
It was great having our own villa rather than a hotel room. The kitchenette was very well equipped. I liked being able to park right in front of our villa. The next door hotel is handy for dinning.
Large comfortable room, nice shower and has number 1 rated Alice Springs restaurant (Tali). We dined here and at the nearby Hilton’ Hanuman and Saltbush restaurants. All were good quality.
Once again the service at Quest Alice Springs was exemplary, including a personal transfer service when our taxi failed to turn up. Just over and beyond and very impressive.
Right in the heart of the Alice Springs shopping centre. Coffee shop and tavern at the front of the complex. Good size room with comfortable bed and in a quiet location.
